I fell on my ass....AND broke it! Literally!
I completely lost my balance yesterday while cleaning my house and when trying to stop myself from falling over I slid in my socks across the hard wood flooring and flew up into the air landing square on my no longer cushioned tailbone. Crack! I have an ass that is as black as blue as you can imagine. Went and had an x-ray and it's fractured. Lucky me.
The doctor I guess was saying that losing almost 200 pounds will probably throw my balance off and may have been a contributing factor to the fall. Grr!!
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that - you must be in so much pain! I fell down the stairs on my tailbone three years ago, and it took over a year before I wasn't occasionally feeling it, and the pain was hell at first. And I didn't fracture mine. (Of course, I was very large at the time, so I probably didn't heal as quickly as you likely will since you aren't putting as much weight on it while it's trying to heal.)
I hope you're good as new soon! And thanks for the word of warning - I will never do housework again after surgery. :)

I am soo sorry for you. 2 years ago I fell down ass first on our back stairs. 300 lbs falling on my poor fat ass. I didn't go to the er but probably should have. I was black and blue for quite a while. I also couldn't sit for a long time either. Probably could have won America Funniest Videos. Where are the cameras when you need them. LOL
OMG girl, that sounds painful! And I am really really sorry, but the way you described it is COMPLETELY hilarious. I mean, who breaks their butt?!
So while you sort of made me giggle with this post, I want you to know that I am definitely NOT laughing at your pain, or your fracture or the fact that you have to deal with this... I sure hope you are OK. Seriously...all giggling aside... Take Care
