So I seen Dr. Jackson today was there from 8 am - 1130 am. He is very nice and not to bad to look at also.

So I went in with all my information regarding the sleeve and why I should have it and was ready to argue the point if I had too but there was no need. Dr. Jackson had read my chart and due to my Crohns thought it was best for me to have the sleeve. He stated that if I had the RNY and something happened with my Crohns such as blockage etc. that caused me to have to have surgery it would become a issue and I would need to have very major surgery so to avoid any issues down the road I am getting the sleeve.

He also said he couldn't tell me which surgeon would do the surgery it could be any of the 4 that do surgery at TWH however, it nows seems he wants to do the surgery himself so Dr. Jackson it is.

So I was given a surgery date of March 2013 as all dates in Jan and Feb are booked but March became a issue because in April I am attending my niece's wedding in the Dominican (already paid for trip) so they stated that would be a issue as I should not be out of country in case something happened. So it is now booked tentatively for May 24, 2013 unless Dr. Jackson is not doing surgery that day they will no in a couple of months if he is scheduled that day if not it will be changed but it will be in May.

I feel less stressed now that I know I am getting the sleeve and I have a date even if it is 5 months away. Yahoo.

That is a long time to wait. But having watched your daughter you know what you are getting into. So hopefully you can relax and put it on the back burner for now

Yes it is long but seems they are booking surgery's for March and April 2013 now and since I already have trip paid for and don't want to miss niece's wedding I have no other choice but to wait and I am perfectly fine with that.

Referral- March 2012, Letter April 19, Orientation TWH- June 6, NP - July 3, Sleep Apena test July 16, Internist and SW - July 17, Nutritional class - July 23, Dietician appt. July 30th, Psych-Social appt - Aug 20th. Follow up with doctor sleep apena Aug. 28th Surgeons appt. - Dec. 14th Dr. Jackson. Surgery date - Feb 12 2013 - VSG
