Cellulitis

Hi all,

I got Cellulitis on Friday and is being treated with an antibiotic and already healing.  My questions is I am seeing the surgeon on Friday morning to get consent for Surgery do you think this will affect the decision?

Cellulitis usually clears up with a course or two of antibiotics.  By the time your surgery comes around there shouldn't be an issue.  If you are concerned that having cellulitis will be a no go factor in being approved, don't worry.  Cellulitis happens, especially this time of year with all the bug bites.   I had a very serious episode of cellulitis in 2011 ( 3 weeks of IV antibiotics, 2 months of oral antibiotics.  Scarring all up my leg)  The surgeons didn't even blink other than to comment that it was a stunner of a scar. 

I had open hysterectomy with cellulitis on my leg. There should not be a problem. They need to know if you are still on anti-biotics so they can prescribe them while you are in the hospital.
