This summer I worked out hard and ate clean and was at 167 pounds and couldn't get any lower. In september i got my first teaching job and was only able to work out once a week. I maintained for the month. when October hit i got my footing and found time for more exercise.

The scale started to rise

so i started a bootcamp 2 nights a week to try and kickstart my metabolism.

The scale rose again today.

I worked so hard to get into the 160s and now i'm 170.9.

for 6 straight weeks it's been a gain every week. from a couple ounces to a pound. I'm at my wit's end! i know it's only a 4 pound increase but i feel like i'm on my way back to 300!!!!

Help!!!!

How are your clothes fitting, remember that muscle weight so much more then fat but takes up a lot less space, you could be building muscle right now.

My clothes do feel looser. i was in such a state this morning i rummaged through my clothes from the summer and tried on some shorts. They felt perfectly fine, if anything they were looser.

i have a lot of anxieties about this process. so scared of the regain!

Oh my god I feel you, I am only 7 months out, havent lost anything in over a month and I keep thinking this is it, I am done, now I will start to gain. I haven`t been good with the gym because up till then I was dropping like crazy and honestly didn`t want it to go faster, then I thought I was pregnant so didn`t want to because I was scared to not have enough calories for the baby, but that didn`t work out so now I am out of excuses and started back, hoping to kick start it again, hopefully not done loosing yet.
I would say screw your scale and get the measuring tape out or a pair of pants with no stretch and monitore it this way, I know before putting on weight I weight trained like crazy and I was so musclular and fit but I weight 150, and I was TINY but my muscles really made me heavy. So don`t worry about the number as long as your clothes aren`t getting tight.

My weight los**** a plateau this summer, when I was 16 months out. My 2 year surgiversary is in 2 months. I really thought adding bootcamp with all the crazy exercises and interval training would kickstart my metabolism.

You may just be gaining muscle. However do you journal your food. When you are not as active you can not consume as many calories. The adage, calories in calories out.

I know how you feel about the gain. I have the same fear. But remember it could be water retention, need a good bm or whatever.
