Ok, it's a deal. If I win the $50 million I will split it with you and Meg. No one should have to endure endless housework and paperwork.

I have not noticed that it is growing back but in all honesty it's kinda nice to have thinner hair for a change. I will enjoy it while it lasts as I'm sure it will start growing back in soon.

Thank you - it confirms what I've heard .. it is almost an inevitable result of the surgery :(- is yours starting to grow back in?

Thank you so much - my hair is thick too - and right now a little past my hips - and yes, it represents in many ways who I am - it is my one vanity. I know it is crucial to keep protein intake high (not just for general overall health after surgery, but also helps with hair loss)- I'm torn - may wait a bit and then once surgery is best, be vigilant ... if I feel I"m losing a lot of hair I'll take a deep breath and cut it! It's only hair, right? To this point (not sure about post-surgery) my hair has always grown very fast but I feel that might change - we'll see. Thank you and congratulations on your fantastic success with your surgery!

Morning gals. Meg, so nice that you got out last night and enjoyed yourself. Keep doing that so that for yourself, you deserve it! Sounds like lil nugget and your hubby did just great with bedtime.

QOTD: I'd have to agree with Meg on cleaning. I really need to pull everything out of every cupboard in my house, clean them well and then reorganize them but where do I find time for that?? C'mon lottery!

B - Strawberries and cream protein shake (since I forgot my yogurt)

S - cheese string

L - other half of my won ton soup, few goldfish crackers

S - turkey pepperette

D - more baked haddock

S - egg bite

Good morning :)

DH and the little nugget survived bedtime last night and she woke up with a smile, so I guess everyone had a good night. I had fun painting -- the time flew by. A funny thing happened -- I sat in a booth waiting for my friend and two other ladies came and sat on the other side. One kind of seemed familiar but I thought she just reminded me of someone. My friend showed up and started talking to her -- she knew her. I was like, what's going on...?? Lol. It turns out we all worked together like a million years ago and she was my sort-of supervisor at my summer job in college.

Today we are meeting a friend while DH has an interview and then going to get groceries. My fridge and freezer are a disaster right now. I have the half cow in the freezer, so no room for anything else... And when cheese was on sale we bought like 20 blocks... But I don't have any milk or veggies. Basically DH said we can make cheese-anything, but nothing else lol.

QOTD: cleaning!! Specifically someone to keep on top of the dog hair and clean the bathrooms. I sweep the living room floor about 3-4 times a day right now because the little nugget is just about crawling and she is always covered in dog hair. I hate it.

Post-op four years and one month.

Breakfast - protein bar

Snack - PB and banana

Lunch - cheese lol

Snack - pepperettes, carrots

Dinner - possibly roast beef

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

Good morning Menu Lovelies. This morning I'm hitting the gym, then meeting a friend for swank coffee/tea at a very upscale place. You might pay slightly more for your coffee, but the ambiance is well worth it. Later today I'm going swimming, then more paperwork. If I won LottoMax, I would hire an assistant just to do my paperwork.

Accountability: On plan with eating and exercise

QOTD: If you won the lottery, what chore would you have your assistant/helper do?

The eats today at 4 years 9 months post-op are:

B. Buckets of decaf

S. Iced Protein shake after the gym

L. Half of a chicken breast/bacon,cheese bun

D. Zeroodles with Bolognese sauce. Small salad.

S. Cocoa because I'm old.

Have a great day everyone.

I lost a lot of hair as well. Being lucky enough to have thick hair it's not noticeable to anyone else but it is definitely much thinner then previously.

I lost a lot of hair. I had medium length thick wavy hair and you really can't tell visually, but it is much thinner. I was a year out in March and I have a lot of 2 inch regrowth right now. Keeping the length has helped me feel like myself, I hate my hair short so I think that would have been very hard to cut it all off. But what a amazing thing you are thinking of doing!

Topic: Question re: Hair loss! For those post-surgery -

This has been brought up numerous times in the various sessions with people on the Bariatric team. It seem an inevitable side effect. I won't lie, worried about extent and breadth of hair loss. Anyone who has experienced this, I would love to hear from you about how this impacted you and whether it was catastrophic, minor or simply not too bad. It's not, obviously, a make or break thing, but I have long, thick hair so if I start losing a LOT, then I would prefer before it reaches a no going back point, to cut it off and send it to Angel Hair for Kids (which my daughter and I have both contributed to before). At this juncture, I could give them a very long, thick braid - it would be a shame to lose all the hair for nothing. Thoughts on hair loss, friends? I will admit, I have an emotional attachment to my hair and it would be hard to lose it at this point, but as I said, if it is going to be lost, I would prefer to act sooner and let someone benefit from it!
