Topic: RE: Considering back liposuction. Have any of you had lipo? With whom?

Thank you, Leslie. Does lipo make the shape of your body weird? Have you had any regain since lipo? If so, where did the fat go once you had all these fat cells removed?

Thank you for posting this! Makes me feel a bit more at ease about my up coming surgery (starting 2 weeks of slim time tomorrow).

I've had lipo to thighs, tummy, arms, back. I'm a bruiser so I had lots of pretty colours. Lipo will work but it does leave the skin. Last lipo I had BBL with the fat spun down and injected into my butt. I also had completion of a posterior lift which also helped with excess skin. Had it done a Usculpt. Cost varies depending on areas, local or anaesthetic. Best is to go for a consult. Who ever you choose make sure they work with weight loss patients

Topic: RE: FINALLY!

Congratulations! I got my referral September 2017 and had Orientation in November 2017. At times it has felt like ages. I'm out of TWH and appointments were every 3 to 4 months. I did abdominal Ultrasound , sleep apnea test and a few others through my family doctor thinking it would speed up the process but it didn't. At the same time I appreciate the time they take to make sure you are at your best for your surgery day. I had my surgeon appointment on December.7 and my surgery is scheduled for Feb.19,2019. Be patient. It will all be worth it in the end! Best of luck!

Topic: RE: FINALLY!

The process seems long at the beginning but does go very fast. From orientation to surgery I was under 9 months at Humber. Making changes now and being able to show your progress will go a long way to getting approvals. Good luck!

Topic: RE: Aching hips when sleeping new after Rny surgery

I had a DS 3 yrs ago. About 14 months ago I started with serious aching pain in the soft tissue of my hips. Tylenol didn't work. Hydrocodene didn't work. it got worse. Both hips hurt. If I got up and walked, it was better. I learned to prop pillows under both thighs. It is not sciatic pain. I had a steroid injection for bursitis. Didn't do anything. I iced it, heated it. Stopped walking my 3 miles. then the interrupted sleep became an issue. I take 1 Tylenol arthritis at night with 1 Tylenol PM. It still hurts but less but i'm Sleeping through it better. I saw ortho, had x Ray was perfectly normal. I am a very healthy and active person. This hip thing was game changer. You are the first person who I have read about having the same thing. It doesn't bother me during the day

Topic: RE: One Year Surgiversary!

Way to go! You are so right that everyone's body loses at their own pace. 100 pounds in a year is amazing. We all go into this wanting to feel so much better and if you feel fantastic then you have accomplished one of your goals. You had surgery about 2 months before me and I have enjoyed following your progress. Enjoy the new 'you'!

Topic: RE: Tightening loose skin

It takes skin 2 years to complete its shrinking after weight loss. Surgery is the only thing that actually tightens loose skin. Loose skin is made when you are obese, not when you lose weight. Loose skin is damaged and stretched out. There are no creams or exercises that repair skin damage.
