Topic: RE: Pouch reset

I did a version of a pouch reset back in May. I drank protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and ate a small dinner of protein and veggies. I did it for a solid week. The first day was easy, days 2-4 were miserable, but after that it was manageable. In general a pouch reset works if you need to jump start your weight loss, however some people have thought a pouch reset will clear out all the bad habits they've developed. Unless you address those issues then all you'll do is be hungry and miserable for a week. So if you have the determination to stick with proper eating and daily exercising then the pouch reset can help.

Good morning Meg, and everyone else! Back to routine for a couple of days. It's odd because for the last I don't know how many years the office has always been closed from the 24th to the second. This year they decided to open for these two days. Senseless as there is nothing to do. Will be a long boring day.

I did well over the holidays, actually lost a few pounds so that's a bonus. I did indulge - I thought too much and didn't do too much exercise....the body is a strange animal! I did hit the gym this morning and it felt pretty good. Hard for me to believe I've stuck with it going on two years now.

Post Op - 2 Years 8 months

Premier Protein after the gym

B - 1 egg, 1/2 sausage w. peppers and onions (omelete style)

S - greek yogurt and raspberries

L - spinach salad with goat cheese, poppy seed dressing and some left over beer can chicken

S - deli turkey or more chicken

D - a hot dog - yup I've been craving a hotdog

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning :)

What a whirlwind over the past two days. By 4pm yesterday I couldn't keep my eyes open. We did four rounds of family festivities over two days. One good thing this year was that taking care of the little nugget kept me away from a lot of the goodies. We have a bunch of eggs and bacon left from brunch for me to snack on today :)

My parents are coming back today and staying for one more night before they head back up north. My mom really misses seeing the baby so I think she will be back for a visit soon.

Post-op three years and nine months.

Breakfast 1 - oatmeal bites

Breakfast 2 - eggs and bacon

Snack - PB and carrots

Lunch - sausage

Snack - Greek yogurt and blueberries

Dinner - tbd

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

Thanks CC!! I hope you are having a wonderful time and that your dad isn't causing too much trouble ;)

We are plugging along here. I can't wait to give the little nugget her gifts. We only got a couple things since she is so little but I have a feeling other people are going to spoil her.

Merry Christmas dear lady to you and your adorable family. Logging for 1331 days in a row is amazing. That in itself is quite an accomplishment given that you gave birth during that time. You are and continue to be an inspiration to us all. Sending virtual hugs to you all.

Topic: RE: MADE GOAL!

newbie here, and late to the party, but what the heck is 'my dolphin'? is that code for something..scratching my head, and so gleeful for you! You go girl!

For 15 years before my car accident (and after, but slower) i walked my two dogs an hour a day or more, never knew the miles, but the reward will stay with me forever- of their sweet personalities, eagerly waiting til our 3pm departure, them leaping joyfully from the back of the car to discover where we went today. I miss that, and hopefully, with them both gone I plan to rescue another old girl to wobble along with me in the deep forest.

I will think of you today with your pups and wish you the very best in the new year!!
