WIP, if you've been lifting weights it could just be your muscles holding onto water while they repair :) it will go away quickly I'm sure!!

TGIF!

Wow what a week! It was just seemed that I had something on the go every hour of everyday which I'm sure many relate to. Luckily I did stay on track food wise since I'd preplanned and prepped last weekend. The scale moved UP last week and hasn't budged this week even though I have been doing strictly fish, chicken, soups, protein shakes and no carbs so it's a bit frustrating. I have a feeling since we've upped the weights at the gym, this may be muscle gain. I'm still losing inches which is the main thing!

B - protein shake

S - greek yogurt

L - chicken skewers, salad

S - boiled egg

D - baked haddock with lemon/dill and broccoli

S - turkey keilbossa, cheese string

Try adding some peppermint extract. I found that really help me get it down.

Thanks for the tip. Hubby bought me a nutri ninja a while back so I will try blending it up with ice. I don't have to do it for that long so I am lucky.

I really enjoyed chocolate optifast and added nothing. Drinking with a straw cuts down on the smell. Lots of ice in a blender helps. Good luck with this and your surgery.

I'm through Hamilton and for two weeks it was $128 so much cheaper than it used to be from what I hear.

So I started my preop on the 20th and optifast is just gross. I chug it down as fast as I can and hold my nose at the same time. I did put decaf coffee in the chocolate one after the first one had me gagging and that was a little better. I am so thankful that I only have 5 days of this. Surgery is next week on the 27th due to a cancellation. I was originally set up to do two weeks. I really feel for everyone that had to do this for more than a week.

I am also so glad I get to have sf popsicles, jello, broth, and 2 cups of veggies a day or I would never make it.What did you do to make the opti taste better or is there even a way to do that? LOL yes I'm being dramatic but oh my giggles that stuff is just gross. Now of course I'm extremely anxious because it's all real now and so close after waiting for so long. Wish me luck :)

Good to see you Meg!

Poor little nugget.. I hope she is back to herself soon. I was out with a friend this weekend and had supper out together also. It was actually a buffet so I chose the shrimp, beets, salad and a small piece of roast beef. Luckily the desserts were nothing I particularly liked, so it was pretty simple passing by.

B - protein shake

S - turkey pepperette, few cheezit crackers

L - chicken veggie soup

S - greek yogurt

D - haddock with lemon and dill (baked), broccoli

S - parmesan cheese whisps

Good morning :)

I think it struck me last night that I hadn't even looked in on here last week at all... The little nugget had a fever last weekend and she is still getting over the effects.

Today I'm going out for lunch with my MIL, SIL, and two of my MILs employees. DH is going to stay home with the little nugget -- they don't usually hang out that long so I would love to be a fly on the wall ;)

Post-op four years and eight months.

Breakfast - oatmeal with homemade applesauce

Snack - nut bar

Lunch - tbd. I tried to check out the menu but it wasn't posted online.

Snack - cheese, cucumber

Dinner -- tbd. Need to pull something out of the freezer.

Snack - toast and PB

All water and vits.
