Topic: Surgery date

Hello

I'm new to the forum ?

I have a question. So I've been through all the appointments dr glazer gave me the thumbs up and told me I've been approved for RNY and I should call Humber river the next day regarding the next step. So I call and they told me they would call in two weeks and if I don't hear from them to call back and find out what's going on. So I called back two weeks later and I am transferred to somebody named Sarah apparently who is one of the nurses there. Sara then tells me they send out Bulk email to the surgeons and I should wait to hear from the surgeon so this is now a month since Dr. Glaser Appointment I still have not heard anything. So should I call my surgeon or what do I do is this a normal wait time before I hear from the surgeon? I'm very anxious to find out what my Surgery date will be. How long has everybody else waited should I call my surgeon?

Thanks

Suzy

Good morning foodies,

Yet another busy week! Tonight I plan on making up a couple outdoor evergreen planters for Christmas with a few friends of mine. I doubt we'll finish in time that I'd be able to make it to my gym so I'll likely just use my stationary bike at home later tonight.

B - protein shake

S - boiled egg

L - chicken skewers, salad

S - turkey pepperettes

D - not sure, whatever my friends have planned

S - probably won't need one

Seeing that you are not too far out have you thought about reaching out to your program Dietitian? They are a great resource as well as other team members. Do you go to a local support group they are a wealth of info too.

Try using a stop watch or alarm to remind you to drink. Always keep water and a protein drink with you. I'm an RNYer but we all face the same issues. You can do this. Reach out to your resources.

I'm 9 months post-op VSG. I've lost 70 lbs from a high about 350.

Who has ideas to get back on track? I'm getting distracted by things I can eat and not focused enough on protein and water and fueling my body.

TIA.

I'm surprised they didn't have lights... We went a couple weeks ago and the little nugget was pointing out all the lights lol. I told DH we are going to have to hang up lights in the house for her.

WIP, if you've been lifting weights it could just be your muscles holding onto water while they repair :) it will go away quickly I'm sure!!

TGIF!

Wow what a week! It was just seemed that I had something on the go every hour of everyday which I'm sure many relate to. Luckily I did stay on track food wise since I'd preplanned and prepped last weekend. The scale moved UP last week and hasn't budged this week even though I have been doing strictly fish, chicken, soups, protein shakes and no carbs so it's a bit frustrating. I have a feeling since we've upped the weights at the gym, this may be muscle gain. I'm still losing inches which is the main thing!

B - protein shake

S - greek yogurt

L - chicken skewers, salad

S - boiled egg

D - baked haddock with lemon/dill and broccoli

S - turkey keilbossa, cheese string

Try adding some peppermint extract. I found that really help me get it down.
