Congrats!

And, those meals sound delicious.

It's nice to see a success story!

I was just at an appointment this morning in Hamilton, Ontario and the social worker gave me a sheet that says $64.00 per week and expect to be on it for 2-4 weeks and it's not covered by drug benefit plans.

Hope this helps.

Brrrrr and good morning all,

Well it looks like winter is on its way whether we are ready or not. It's just a normal workday but I have lots of little jobs to finish up so time should fly and make for a short day. My first block of personal training sessions at the gym expired last week so since I'm really enjoying it and also seeing nice progress, I signed up for another year but at only 2 per week which means I will just do 2-3 on my own.

QOTD: What do you have planned for this winter or even the next year if you have it planned in advance?

B - SF zucchini bread, shaved turkey breast - (yes separately although it still sounds like something Meg should post mid pregnancy as a weird craving)

S - greek yogurt

L - turkey cheese griller, small salad

S - apple, cheese string

D - chicken breast, broccoli

S - SF iced capp, possibly half banana if hungry

Is everybody hibernating? Wakey wakey

So, finally under goal - so happy for me; plan to get down to 5 pounds under goal to have some room for little ups and downs on the scale; my clothes will let me know too - still hard to believe I'm wearing small/medium stuff and size 8 pants (just bought jeans in size 28 - still blows my mind!)

Anyhow, now I need to figure out how many calories will be my daily goal - past 4 months I've been between 850 - 950 and still losing weight; also depends on how much exercise I did that day - I try to balance the two out; I have my 1 year follow up tomorrow so I'm sure the team will help me determine.

Meals for today:

B: 2 poached eggs on WW bread; coffee

L: protein bar, some almonds, Gala apple (out at movies, so packed my meal)

D: Homemade meatloaf, 1 slice Power source bread, sugar snap peas with roasted red pepper dip

S: decaf tea; babybel cheese maybe some cottage cheese before bed

Did 3 long walks today, so tend to eat a little more carbs but make sure they have higher protein/no sugar - so far this works for me.

Sunny

hi sandra

not too many of the old folks are around and I don't really see the Dsers here anymore. Don't forget to try the DS boards and the Ontario fb groups.

take care.

Hi All,

It's been a very long time since I have been on the forums. I am hoping there are some of my old peeps hanging out.

I had duodenal switch in 2007 with Dr. L in Michigan.

I have come back to the boards for support and getting back on track. I have experienced some weight gain and want to get back on track.

Happy Halloween rain lovers

Boy, this weather and the dark mornings make me want to stay in bed! Tonight I have a training session at the gym which I'm really enjoying. I won't be missing any trick or treaters since I live on a back road and haven't had any kids stop by for years. I bought a few treats just in but will make sure my kids eat them if no one shows up.... tooooo tempting!

B - protein shake

S - greek yogurt

L - homemade beef stew

S - turkey pepperettes

D - eggs, turkey sausage

S- roasted red pepper hummus, few triscuits
