Stick with it! You can do this.
I'd try taking off my clothes and standing sideways in a mirror to remind me why I'm going through all of this. Think about how unhealthy you feel and how you long to have more energy for a better quality of life.
If you are as far through the process to be on Day 4 of Optifast, I'm sure you can do this. Don't ruin it now.

I think that almost two years without everything you mentioned is quite the accomplishment. Why break the cycle now for champagne?

My hunger subsided about day 4, but is back with a vengeance past 3 days. I space out the optifast throughout the day, add 1 cup of broth at lunch and 1 cup of plain lettuce at dinner. Only water, caffeine-free tea and the occasional sugar-free mint/gum.
Have others been hungry right up until surgery?
Congratulations, Dawn! i hear ya about the life long struggle. Good on ya!

Thanks for sharing your experience; it's so weird to go from such lovely thick hair (which I now see I took for granted!) and to the point were I'm worried its so thin; Can't wait until it starts to grow back.

Lunch - still full
Snack - cheese and grapes
Dinner - BBQ chicken and veggies

All water and vits.
Thank you.
Oh and BTW, If anybody wants to join our Once a Month Meet up for Coffee, Chat and Support. Let myself, Mahalo or Tutu know via this forum. I'm not sure if the dates still get posted.

TGIF!
Today should be just a normal workday and then I'm heading to my training session at the gym. My son just returned from a trip up north so hopefully my daughter will stop by this weekend and we can all go to the local Labour Day parade/celebrations. I think the weather is supposed to be nice for the most part. Oh and I finally dropped to the 200's .... yay!
B - protein shake
S - egg bite
L - rotisserie chicken, lettuce, cheese, grainy mustard
S - turkey pepperettes
D - bunless burger, green beans
S - sweet potato crackers, roasted red pepper hummus
Happy Labour Day weekend everyone! ![]()

Good morning and thanks for sharing your story.
Wow you have been through the ringer and back as they say, but I am SO happy you came on and shared. It definitely helps put things in perspective and makes you realize "don't sweat the small stuff" are words to live by! Keep up that fight and please update us on how you are coping/enjoying life moving forward.
Have a great long weekend ![]()

I feel your frustration on trying to load/unload a baby or toddler. In the states there are special parking spots for that reason but unfortunately I see very few here in Canada. I agree that I don't like to feel crowded,, give me some space! ;)
