Good Morning everyone. Posting super early as I have to cover the scale today. We have a waterwash on boiler 1 and our scale attendant is out this week her half-sister passed away unexpectedly which is very sad. So I have to go in for 6am.
Irvin's doctor's appointment went great his A1c is down from 8.7 to 6.2 and his doctor was super happy. She didn't push any meds or vaccinations on him which is good, because he likes to do things naturally and doesn't have much trust in big pharma at all. Today is his birthday he's 67 and I'm making him shrimp and lobster scampi with grilled sirloin and he wants squash pie for dessert. I have the butternut squash in the instant pot so that will be ready before I leave for work. You guys know me what ever I can make from scratch I do.
QOTD: Speaking of work do you like your job? I've had a few over the years, but I've been with Wheelabrator/Win-Waste for 15 years and hope to be with them for at least another 15. While I have days that I question why I'm there I do like and enjoy my job, I just don't like dealing with co-workers who don't do their jobs.
B: sliced lamb and eggs
L: buffalo chicken wrap
D: sirloin and scampi
Exercise will be walking back and forth from the scale house to the office that should be at least equal to 30 minutes or more on the treadmill.
Have a great day!!!!
Even though dropping some unwanted pounds is good please make sure you're getting enough nutrients to stay well. I'm glad you're back is a little better.
Good Evening! Sorry I've been missing the post earlier in the day. I'm trying to find a flow and obviously I haven't done well at it recently. We had a nice weekend with some errands, lunch/dinner out (using birthday rewards before they expire), hair appt and tv time.
TSS: 10 years 4 months
B: SF latte, 3 turkey sausage links, and an orange
L: Turkey and cheese sticks, oikos yogurt and some fruit
S: A piece of fruit and yogurt
D: Shredded pork, 3 net zero carb tortillas, guacamole, Trader Joe's spicy cauliflower rice, a banana, and some junior mints
ES: Protein ice cream and carbmaster toast
E: 1/2 hour elliptical and 2 miles on treadmill
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1463 Protein:153 Carbs: 134 Fat:49
Have a great day!
My back is starting to feel better. I walked most of the way around the block to see if I could get it to relax a bit. It helped a little but sitting in front of the computer doesn't help it.
I've been doom scrolling the LA fires, I feel so sorry for those people. I can't imagine coming home to nothing. And whole towns basically don't exist anymore. So sad and devastating.
I've had no appetite so I've taken advantage and I haven't been eating much at all. The scale has been cooperating and I'm down 13.5lbs since November. I'm hoping that this continues.
I've been watching too much TV and not moving enough but when every step is painful it's hard to want to do anything. Even putting on my socks is really painful.
I need to get to work.
Have a great day everyone!

Good mornin Jen and everyone!
I've got an appointment this morning with pain management. We'll likely go to Sam's afterwards but other than that not much is planned. It's a crisp 24° here this morning. We still have a lot of snow on the ground. Normally it's gone by now. I wish I could send some moisture to L.A. but we needed it too. It's just such a sad situation going on.
Not a lot going on this week. We're supposed to get a frigid cold from this next weekend. Lows in the single digits. I could live without it and my ol man Frankie could too. It's hard on him. We started him on a dog hemp oil and it's already made a difference for him. He is able to get up easier and it's chilled him up a bit. He's always been a high anxiety dog. We had to take Tange to the vet Saturday. She had an infected wound from Percy dragging her off the old cat tree. She got a shot and some pain meds. We had been treating it at home but Friday she started downwards again. She is already acting so much better. Playing and eating like normal. The older cats haven't even tried to attack her in over a week. :::knocks on wood:::
B: eggs, cheese and coffee
L: probably some chicken pot pie
D: chicken with Brie and some kind of veggie.
Good morning, everyone!
It's cold in Chicago today, but pretty snuggly on the train. It looks like it will warm up towards the end of this week and then get very cold next week. Fortunately, I have a work trip to Orlando the last week in January.
This weekend was pretty quiet, mostly football watching (mostly bad games) and CrossFit. My son made enchiladas last night, so I'm hoping to score some leftovers for dinner tonight.
I put my 24 hour sugar monitor on yesterday. I was getting spike alerts after each meal, so I disabled that feature. I think the stress of the alerts is something that I don't need. Over the 2 week period, I will try and figure out where I can do a little better.
QOTD:
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: catered
Dinner: enchiladas, hopefully!
Have a great day, all!

Good Monday morning. Not much happened the weekend. We did go get a big alfalfa bale for the rabbits and the farm we went to in Somers, CT sells dry aged Red Angus beef. So we ended up getting some brisket, sirloins, and liver.
Then we went to my SIL's to see about using one of her Billy goats to breed to our two girls. We picked her boy Patches who is a year and a half old and just a little cutie. He should cross well with ours. We pick him up this weekend and we will have him for a month.
QOTD: I'm kind of stumped for a question (I haven't had enough coffee yet LOL) If anyone has one please feel free to post one.
B: just coffee Irvin did a fast yesterday and this morning before his doctor's appointment so I joined him.
L: Cajun turkey wrap with Swiss cheese
D: leg of lamb with cheesy broccoli
S: cucumber and celery
30 minutes on the treadmill
Have a great day everyone.
Thanks so much for your reply. I will just go ahead and take it once every morning in 8 ounces of water. Thanks again White Dove!! I knew that if I came on here, I would receive the answer that I need.
