Good mornin y'all.

i have two appointments today at the same place. That's about all I've got going. It's going to be chilly today. They are saying snow this weekend. Not too happy about that part. I have an appointment of some kind every freakin day this week. We were supposed to get fiber internet Saturday but they were running late so we decided to reschedule to Wednesday. Pain clinic tomorrow. Rheumatologist Thursday and pt Friday. We have to get a lot of laundry done. I cleaned yesterday while my mom went to the last lord of the rings movie at the theater. I also napped which was nice. The tv never came on for over 4 hours. Ahhhh heaven! LOL

weight loss is going well along with tracking. Down 10 pounds in total in about 2.5 weeks. My blood sugars have been great. So I am very happy with that.

QOTD: sometimes. Dinner and breakfast almost always. Lunch is the crap shoot. Sometimes I do the easy thing.

B: egg, ricotta, onion and low carb toast.

L: probably a burrito and an apple.

D: I'm wanting fish and some broccoli

I got a 4qt instant pot on clearance. I'm so happy about it. I am making some steel cut oats today for the week and maybe some beans tomorrow.

an old favorite!

Good Morning Gang. Sorry for the late posting. Woke up to 6inches of snow so I messaged my boss and told him I would be in late. I shoveled around the car and Jeep, started them up while Irvin got the plow truck ready. I took my time getting in since the back roads were rather crappy. The highway was good though.

The Patriots won against the Texans, so we are off to play the Broncos who unfortunately lost their starting quarterback to an ankle injury. I do feel bad he got hurt, but that might just give the Pats and advantage.

We added another breeding pair of rabbits to the herd. They are Californians white with black ears and facial features. Very excited about them since they were one breed I really wanted. I was able to trade a Silver Fox doe for the Californian doe and paid $25 for the buck.

QOTD: Do you feel you eat balanced meals (protein, vegetables, etc)? For the most part I do. There are some days that I just do protein and forgo the other stuff I've made.

B: coffee and 2 eggs with ham and cheese

L: rabbit stew (OMG it came out so good for the first time making it)

D: 1 country fried chicken thigh with steamed zucchini

The Y is open today so we will be hitting that after I get home from work.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Topic: Disruption of the gastric partion

I had a roux-en-Y gastric bypass about 23 years ago at Celebration performed by Dr. Keith Kim. I've had zero problems. This week I had an EGD & colonoscopy after a terrible bout of colitis. Here are the report findings. Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

-Disruption of the gastric partition. The entire remnant stomach was accessible with the scope.

I'm kind of freaked out. I've had no problems and have no idea when this occurred. My GI doctor told me to not worry about and it and at my age to not have the surgery redone. I'm 72.

Thanks for your time,

Karen

Topic: Finally Friday's Menu

Happy Friday Gang!! The computer was being finicky this morning and not loading OH finally got on.

So back in December someone had used one of the plow trucks here at work done at the wellhouse and damaged the plow. They never reported it. Me being the detective I am and with the new camera system I was able to find out what day, time, and who was driving the truck. I let the plant manager know and showed him the footage. I believe it was just an accident, but they did not report it.

Things went well with the corporate guys that came to visit yesterday. There were a few minor things they found one being the flag that for weeks I had been saying needed to be changed out. Other than that, it was a pretty good day.

Very cold this morning 5 degrees is the high and we are supposed to get some snow this weekend not much, but enough to cover things again.

QOTD: Do you take your required supplement every day? I had a lapse a few years ago, but since then I make sure every Sunday I put all my vitamins in my pill box and keep it on the counter so I don't forget.

B: coffee and 2 hard boiled eggs

L: chicken wings and 2 slices of pizza

D: pork chops and kale

The Y is closed today for some sort of issue/maintenance with their heating system we both got the email last night so we will have a relaxing night.

Have a great day and weekend everyone!!!

Good mornin y'all.

Not a lot happening today. We may go out and we may not. I am betting we will because my mom will get restless. I like staying home but hey, it doesn't matter lol. Yesterday's appointment went well. I took the opportunity to use their sitting elliptical machine and did a 15 minute workout. Even the PT guys noticed I went hard at it. I wish I had one of those here at home, it's easy on my back and the rest of my body other than my elbows. Speaking of which, they have been bothering me on both arms. Not sure what that's about probably the RA. I see the rheumatologist a week from today! Looking forward to it actually. I just hope I'm not let down again.

my eating has been pretty darn good. I need to plan a little better but I am ending around 1500 to 1600 so I'm happy. It's been hard. Stress around here is bad, I'm an emotional eater so it's just ugh.

QOTD: stomach for sure and the arms are a probably not.

B: 1/3 cup old fashioned oats, applesauce, coffee and a boiled egg.

S: Ritz with cheese

L: salad with popcorn chicken, boiled egg, cucumber slices , tomatoes and some kind of dressing...maybe just salsa

S: apple with crunchy PB

D: feta, sausage and spinach pastries. Maybe some chicken.

Happy Friday-Eve Gang. Irvin decided he wanted baked half of chicken with red sauce and mozzarella cheese along with homemade mac and cheese so that is what he got. I made myself some seasoned chicken thighs since I'm not a huge fan of red sauce. He loved it. I had also picked up some berries and whipped cream for dessert, but he was full from the chicken and mac & cheese. We will have that tonight.

Came to work this morning to find out a couple of corporate people were coming here today. I did a quick cleanup of the office really just straightening a few things out. They got here at 7:30 about 10 minutes after I finished things. I offered to do the weekly walk around of the hazardous waste areas to help the EH&S technician out. Since I've taken a haz waste course and I'm certified I can do it. It's not really that hard of a thing and only takes about 20 minutes to complete.

QOTD: If you got to your ideal weight would you want to have plastic surgery done? While I'm far from my ideal weight I have thought about it. I would get my stomach done as that area is the worse for loose skin. My arms and thighs are not that bad and I could live with them.

B: coffee and 2 hard boiled eggs

L: 1 chicken thigh and 1 cup of mac & cheese

D: I think we will just do the fruit.

Tonight at the Y will be the weight circuit since we didn't go last night.

Have a great day everyone!!

Mornin folks.

I've got an appoint at 9 but it's close by so we don't need to lead but for another 30 minutes. Just PT.

yesterday went fairly well with the 1500 calorie count. I went over by 34 so I count that as a big win.

Today we're not doing much. I may organize some more on my supplies. Gawd I have so much **** It's super windy today and it's supposed to get worse by the afternoon...yayyyyyyyyyyy. My sinuses don't like it and neither does my body because it means a front is moving through

QOTD: I eat on a small plate as well. I once in a while will use a bigger plate if that's all there is but my plate will look very sparse.

B: egg, ricotta, low carb bread and coffee oh and a cracker with cheese packet

S: apple w/PB

L: undecided

S: prob popcorn

D: thinking soup.

Topic: What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Happy Hump Day Gang!!

Well for once Irvin had some good luck. His CDL license was downgraded in 2024 due to not having his DOT physical done. At the time he wasn't planning on driving anymore so didn't really care, but recently he decided he wanted it back. Since his license needed to be renewed by his birthday which is today, I had started calling a few weeks back to see what he had to do to get it upgraded back to a CDL. I had called the DMV and was told since it was over 2 years, he needed to take the knowledge and road test over along with getting an up-to-date DOT physical. He did the physical on the 5th. The doctor sent the certificate to the DMV that day. It was going to take a few weeks to get the road and knowledge test set up so he decided to just renew as a regular license until he could get the other things done. When he went to the DMV yesterday, they gave him a new CDL license because they had received the new medical certificate and he doesn't have to do the two tests over. That saves a few hundred dollars.

The body scale should be coming in today and we are rather excited about it. There is an E&I interview today and a 90-day review of a new hire. The water wash went well yesterday and hopefully boiler 2 stays good until the scheduled outage in March.

QOTD: Do you eat on a regular dinner size plate or do you use a smaller salad plate? That is one thing I've done about 95% of the time since surgery is keep consistent with eating my meals at home on a smaller salad plate. I remember my surgeon telling me to use that instead of a bigger plate because with the bigger plate you are more tempted to eat more food especially slider foods.

B: coffee and protein shake

L: French onion soup and 1/2 chicken salad wrap

D: whatever Irvin wants I'll make him for his birthday

Have a great day everyone!!
