My father warned us that if you made faces at people, God would punish you by freezing your face into that look. It turns out it was how the old Irish people explained Bell's Palsy, a condition where the facial features are temporarily paralysed.

I fell on Monday and was having a really hard time walking due to pain in my hip. I went to ER yesterday and they said nothing was broken, but my bone deterioration is getting worse. They referred me to an orthoopedic doctor to see if there are injections that will help with that. Hope he can help.

Good mornin y'all.

yesteday sucked. My psychiatric NP is such an ass. He told me I need to manage my pain better. Even after I told him they(the pain management clinic) aren't willing to do anything else. He suggested I start a spiritual journey of some sorts. I got madder than a wet hen. Rage bough some mochi and ate two...got sick and threw them away. I swear my mind works in some wondrous ways and sometimes I am surprised I know how to breathe. I am stuck with this guy for now. He doesn't listen to anything I say.

Today I see my PCP after lunch. I am hoping he'll up the mounjaro. And do some bloodwork. Oh AND an X-ray of my hips, esp my left one.

we also have to go get groceries this morning.

QOTD: when I was a kid it was that thunder was actually dinosaurs. Now I just have an irrational fear of crowds.

B: eggs, sausage and coffee + cheese

L: 3 or 4 meatballs, pesto and ??? Maybe 4 crackers or a piece of bread

D: burrito with a low carb tortilla: avocado, hamburger meat, cheese, sour cream and refried beans.

Good morning, everybody!

I'm home from swimming. When I drove by the outdoor thermometer at 5:40, it was 42 degrees! Woohoo!! So. much better than the single digit days of January and early February. I enjoyed a nice soak in the hot tub after swimming, and now I'm ready to start my day.

Some things did turn up in the home inspection, so we are strategizing about how to address those items in the closing documents. Marilyn has a meeting with our realtor shortly to go over his suggested approach. I guess it was pretty windy down there yesterday, so they didn't do much boating or fishing. Hopefully, the weather will improve today because they ave a boat chartered for a night time trip this evening.

Back in Chicago, I will miss Happy Hour because I am taking my son's spot at fly tying this week. I ended up getting a tray of Chicken Alfredo at Costco and I will let my son finish that for tonight's dinner. I will probably grab something before class. Everyone comes home tomorrow night.

QOTD: I've said this before, but as a child, I was told that dragon flys were called "thread and needles" and that they would sew shut the mouths of children. I am 93% sure that this isn't true, but I am still wary of them

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Italian sandwich

Diner: hamburger

Have a great day, all!

Happy Hump Day gang. Yesterday started off quiet, but by lunchtime it turned into a hectic afternoon. After the BAU audit last week, it was determined that the mobile equipment inspection forms needed to be revamped. A person was assigned to do that because they said they could, well they had nothing but issues trying to figure out how to adjust the tables in Word. So, my PM asked me if I could do them, yes, I can, but they are time consuming and a pain in the ass. I have 23 of them to revamp and after spending 3 hours yesterday only got 6 done. Today is going to be a long day, but at least we are closer to the weekend.

QOTD: What is the most irrational superstition you have? I have to have my legs/feet covered when I sleep or something is going to grab them and take me away. It doesn't even have to be anything thick just a sheet is fine. Apparently having my legs/feet covered makes me invisible to creatures of the unknown. LOL

B: coffee and 2 bacon egg bites

L: tuna wrap

D: grilled chicken thighs and sweet potato puffs

30 minutes on the treadmill

Have a great day everyone!!!

I think my calcium might have magnesium in it and I haven't had any issues. I hope it helps.

QOTD- Languages would be good, I've tried Spanish and I suck at it.

Wind storm last night, I was lucky and the power didn't go out at my house but there are currently 1110 outages affecting almost 30,000 homes. I hate the wind, as a child I lived through the Columbus Day Storm here in Portland. The power was out for a week and the devastation was incredible. So I really don't like wind.

I am trying not to lose my temper but I've spent yesterday redoing a job for about the 20th time. I'm totally sick of it and about ready to pull my hair out. Hopefully I will survive this with most of my hair.

Nothing else going on, just work. I need a vacation, but no PTO so no vacation.

Have a great day everyone!
