Woo Hoo it's Friday gang!! Woke up to frost on everything. Glad I got home last night and went right out to harvest the herbs and cover the plants I wanted to keep going. We haven't had a frost this early in several years, yet a few years ago we had a very late frost the end of May that killed Peach blossoms and other fruits in New England.
Looks like we are getting a coastal storm Sunday into Monday with heavy rain and wind. Not sure what else the weekend holds.
QOTD: What's a movie franchise you can binge watch over and over? My two would be the Harry Potter and LOTR ones. It doesn't matter how many times I've watched them I still love them.
B: coffee and 2 egg bites with cottage cheese
L: roast beef and provolone sandwich
D: baked fish and sweet potato
Hitting the Y for an aqua fitness class
Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!!
Hi, sorry to be missing your posts since Tuesday. It has been a tiring few days and somehow I've got to miraculously get the house spic n span when there is no room to put anything away and also be working outside on the Autumn landscaping chores while the weather is still nice (expected to turn sour soon). Felt so down last night that I kind of binge ate on sugar free chocolate---not horribly but apparently it was enough calories that my body decided the famine is over and I dropped a little this morning. It was only 603 calories for the day but a whopping 46g carbs when my doctor said not to go over 20. I should be freaked out that the Contrave didn't take away the urges but it felt mostly like a pity party and not a pharma failure. But overall I'm having trouble keeping the carbs low this week.
QOTD: Our house is a 50's Rancher with minimal insulation in the walls so I put the heat on when it gets in the 60's outside now. But that may be because of losing weight again and getting cold so easily. I wake in the morning having dreams set in snowstorms and Hubby is as comfortable as can be.
B: My protein/collagen shake.
L: 1 cup nonfat Greek Yogurt w/cinnamon and 2 sweetener packets
D: 2 slices lowfat chicken lunchmeat chopped well and warmed in 2 T Arby's sauce, 4 big mushrooms sliced and sauteed in 1 tsp real butter
Congrats on the new great grandbaby!

Sorry I posted separately lol- I imagined your Thursday morning post was from LAST week not 4:25 AM today !
We both rise with the chickens - U a little earlier apparently !
((())) hugs Eva
"They " actually are predicting record snows n cold this winter - I just know my NY weather seems schizophrenic - often super hot during the day and super cold overnite ( but not freezing yet )

Good morning Jennifer and everyone.
Not sure what today'll hold. We might do something but I'm hoping to stay home. It'll depend on my mom. We might go to the thrift store since we'll be unable to go tomorrow as well have the kids. They are out for a 4 day weekend. Riley will stay the night sometime and Randall might too. Pumpkins are at a great price so we got them all one to carve. Oh I forget that so we'll have to go get some of the tools to do it.
Still no word on an orthopedic surgeon. I sent in a message to see what's up. Hopefully it'll light a bit of a fire to it. I can hope right?
QOTD: freezing. Sometimes at a higher temp and it's wet.
food is undecided.
pics of what I donated to the rescue and a box top I found at the thrift store.
Happy Friday-Eve menuer's. What a chilly morning here in CT. I harvested a bunch of the herbs and figured out what plants I will be covering tonight. I can't believe they are predicting a freeze tonight. Not even a frost, but a freeze. The weatherman said the temps in parts of Northern CT will be in the 20's. I do hope this doesn't mean we will be having a bad Winter.
Running out in a little bit to the get stuff for the luncheon today. Other than that not much going on a work. The outage is still going well.
QOTD: At what outside temperature do you turn the heat on? We usually don't put the heat on unless the outside temp stays at 45 degrees for at least 24 hours. I know it sounds crazy, but our house was originally heated by electric and is super insulated so it holds heat in well even if it is cold out.
B: coffee and protein shake
L: cold cut sandwiches
D: leftover pot roast
Irvin is a great grandpa again. He now has two great granddaughters.
Not sure if we will get to the Y tonight since I have a bunch of stuff to cover and harvest.
Have a great day everyone!!!
Good Morning !
Today is THE DAY when God decides do I get to stay in NY City's beautifulest apartment ?
Of course Im jumping the gun but there are upgrades Im dying to make - real hardwood floors, marble windowsills so I can leave windows cracked for air and not have to rush home for rain, high quality ceiling trim and wall paint , and a massaging jacuzzi tub ! Not to mention white glass and gloss kitchen cabinet doors I mostly already own ...
Whaddaya think ?
Oh food - midnite snack ( otherwise was too hungry to sleep)
commercial clam chowder mixed w chicken soup ( 1/2 cup )
sheperds pie ( again commercial 8 grams fat per serving ) hooked up w fresh peas, butter buds.
herbal tea
b- coffee w ff milk truvia
egg salad on garlic sourdough bread
potato salad
leftover soup heated up
l- dk
d-dk but have TONS of food in fridge n freezer
I'm a food hoarder unfortunately - wont touch anything I dont crave and ultimately eat very little which leaves a LOT of leftovers ![]()
Landlord will probably throw me out when I get the Jacuzzi tub delivered but check this out ! Isnt it amazing ( and beautiful ? )
Holy cow ! ![]()
I take Buproprion ( forever) to exercise , breathe better and often just to function ( get several strengths prescribed ) also topiramate ( for anxiety supposedly ) and recently Naltrexone ( a true magic pill for stopping alcohol cravings I find) ......
Maybe its no wonder I maintain my new weight no prob ? ![]()
Wow, sounds like a rough start! I totally get the frustration--people driving like maniacs in bad weather is terrifying. I'm also super cautious when it rains or snows; better to arrive late than not at all.

Got most car-bound food in refrigerator thank God - staying ( illegally of course ) in what I pray will be my new forever apartment .
Best views in NY - but there R drawbacks - pollution , no trees or parks ( South Bronx is essentially a wasteland oxygen and healthy food wise
)
Please wish me luck tomorrow w signing lease.
b- Stopped by a Hamptons . Egg whites, sausage patty, coffee w skim milk, tea w skim milk n sweetener in thermos .... bits of oatmeal and blueberry waffle plan to munch on them again tomorrow morning. Half banana
s- cereal dry in car
l- nothing
d- bought caribbean food but didnt eat it except a few bites of chicken
herbal tea
bit of wine w sugar free probiotic soda
