Good mornin Jennifer! A hello to everyone else too.
I had an appointment with my bariatric doc yesterday and he told me MC may not be the best for me. I trust him a lot. So I am trying a 1500 calorie diet for a 30 day period. He is doing it with me and we'll show each other our written food logs. He challenged me to that and 15 minutes of walking and he'll walk a certain amount more too. So I see him again in a month. I'm starting that today. I'm pretty upset about the money I spent on MC but might go back to it if the 1500 plan doesn't work out.
Not sure what's happening today. We are thinking we might do some stuff around the house but knowing my mom she'll think of somewhere to go. I need to wash a couple loads of laundry and my bedding. Clean up a bit on my bedroom and organize some of my chainmaille supplies.
I found an excellent chai tea. Twinnings chai ultra spice. It's so good. Inexpensive and tasty. If you like chai I recommend it a lot.
QOTD: portions and journaling EVERYTHING...I mean every little thing. Sometimes when I have a cracker with a piece of cheese I will say to myself that it's small so it doesn't matter. Yeah...I can be delusional!
B: egg, part skim ricotta, low carb delightful bread and a breadstick with some cheese(100 calorie snack pack)
S1: apple with 1 tbs of PB
L: most likely a burrito
S2: hummus and carrot chips
D: hasn't been decided yet.
have a great one!
Good Tuesday Morning Gang!! The workout went well last night. We got a really good lesson on how to properly use the different circuit machines and how many reps/intervals we each should be doing. For me since I'm looking for weight loss it was more reps, but with lighter weights. That keeps your heart rate up and metabolism boosted. While Irvin wants to gain muscle he did less reps, but heavier weights. We did learn some great stuff.
The water wash has started here at work and so far so good. There are two interviews today for Utility Operators and one tomorrow for an E&I tech.
QOTD: What is your biggest struggle when it comes to nutrition? Mine is properly tracking what I eat. The portion/serving size, calories, carbs, sugars, proteins, fats.
B: coffee and two eggs scrambled with cheese
L: Slice of chicken loaf
D: small tossed salad with hard boiled egg
Tonight at the Y we will be doing low impact exercises. I believe treadmill and elliptical.
Have a great day everyone!!!
Oh and we ordered a full body scale. The thing checks everything from weight to muscle mass to fat mass and all sorts of other stuff.

Good mornin y'all.
I have an appointment this morning and 3 others this week. Mostly PT but today's is my bariatric surgeon. Just a check up. I need to ask him some stuff but nothing important really.
the weekend was ok. My niece, Riley, had me order her a button/pin maker for her. She is wanting to make money, that girl...she tries to give us advice on finances LOL. It was 85 dollars and now she wants a cricut.
QOTD: avocado here as well. To say I love them is a huge understatement.
B: boiled eggs, RF dip/dressing and cheese. Of course coffee.
S: apple with 1tbs of crunchy PB
L: thinking soup from the weekend.
S: some veggie with hummus
D: undecided at this point.
Good Morning Gang!! We had a lazy weekend except for Saturday morning. We met with the personal trainer at the Y and have a plan set for M-F. The Patriots won last night and advance in the playoffs. They haven't been to the playoffs since 2019 when Tom Brady one his 6th Superbowl with them. Crossing fingers they make it back this year.
We have a water wash tomorrow on boiler 2 just a maintenance thing. Not all that much else going on at work this week as of yet.
QOTD: What is your favorite healthy fat? Hands down for me is avocados. Either fresh or as avocado oil. The second would be MCT oil. I stay away from vegetable oils
B: mushroom coffee made with caramel protein shake
L: one flour tortilla with thin slices steak and 2 slices of cheese
D: two hard boiled eggs
Tonight at the Y we will be working with the trainer on our new weights routine.
Have a great day everyone!!!
Happy Friday Gang!! Glad it is finally the weekend. The week went by pretty fast probably because I was busy at work and at home. I have three huge bags of papers/junk to toss from going through more stuff in the office. I was looking at it this morning, and I can't believe how much stuff I had just thrown in there. Still have a ways to go, but I've made just a huge dent that I'm getting excited to get the garden stuff started.
Remember how I said yesterday I found the food journal I originally used when I was first out of surgery (it was fully filled out), well I found another one that I must have bought but never used. So starting Monday I will be tracking everything again like I did when first out of surgery. The name of it is DietMinder.
QOTD: Do you keep yourself well hydrated? I know some struggle with drinking enough fluids including water. I keep well hydrated all have. Sometimes I think I might drink too much water, but besides water I only ever have coffee, tea, or a protein shake. My main source of fluids is just good ole H2O.
B: mushroom coffee made with premier protein caramel
L: 4oz chicken breast with 1/2 cup steamed broccoli salt/pepper 1tbsp butter
D: Not sure if I'm going to make fish or not I will leave that up to Irvin
I did the treadmill at home this morning for 30 minutes.
Have a great day and weekend everyone!!

Good mornin Jennifer and readers!
I am feeling rough this mornin but have a pt appointment today. I also decided last night to change my storage situation for beside my chair. So we are going to the thrift store to check out if they have anything. If not it's Walmart. Not sure what I'm looking for. My mom expects me to keep most of it in my room. It's not fair really but it is what it is...I guess. lol. I'm hoping for something that'll hold a bit of stuff. Wish me luck!
I'm hoping for another good eating day. Last night I got a bit sick with my stomach. I think it's TOM related. We need to get a few groceries.
QOTD: I wouldn't have passed out, I would've paid attention to my light head feeling and sat down on my bed instead of falling right on my ass and back. Also I would've done counseling from the very beginning. That's really the big one. I thought I had it down but my mind was mucked up more than I realized.
B: boiled eggs, grape tomatoes, roasted bell peppers, ricotta, 1 slice whole wheat toast and coffee.
L: leftover pork chop and I think I'll roast the rest of the carrots. Apple and PB
D: we're not sure, I'd like to make some hamburger soup. We have a chance of an ice storm tomorrow or snow. We'll see what mother nature decides. W need the moisture.
Happy Friday-Eve Menuer's. The roads were very slick this morning with blac**** and unfortunately I saw a pretty bad accident on my way into work. I'm not sure how many cars were involved but it was multiple ones. People traveling way to fast and not paying attention to the condition of the roads. Hopefully no one was seriously injured.
Irvin got me so inspired with the cleaning he did the other day that last night I spent 3 hours sorting through stuff in the office and took two huge bags of junk/trash into work with me. I would say I got 1/3 of it cleaned out. Even started organizing my craft and gardening stuff better. I found one of the original food journals that I used when I first had the bypass done. I think I'm going to order another one of them.
QOTD: If you could go back to when you first had surgery what would you do different? I would definitely take better advantage of the honeymoon period to get all the weight off and some extra. I also would have had a set exercise plan in place. Sometimes I feel like I failed myself even though I have been able to keep 70lbs off. Of course I still need to lose a good 50-60.
B: mushroom chai made with premier protein
L: 4oz boneless skinless chicken breast with one slice of Swiss cheese and 1 cup steamed zucchini
D: none trying to stick to one meal
Irvin and I are set to meet with one of the trainers on Saturday morning to get a set workout plan in place. Pretty excited about it.
Have a great day everyone!!
Mel that's awesome. Some people may not think 7lbs is a big deal, but I sure know it is. I'm so happy for you.

Good afternoon to all of you.
Not a lot happening today we had an appointment for the cars maintenance. That was long and frustrating...always is. But it's done for a good while. They even washed it for free so hey, it was worth it.
My Mayo Clinic plan is working. I've lost about 7 pounds already. I know some is water weight but I'm happy with it. I'm had the chance to get a fast food burger meal and diet pop and turned it down. I didn't even feel tempted. I haven't had pop in weeks. I don't miss it either.
QOTD: the diet plan has a tracker so right now I'm using that and measuring...everything.
B: light English muffin breakfast sandwich with ricotta, egg, sausage and 1 tbs of bruschetta
L: a burrito and an apple with 1tbs of crunchy PB
D: something with pork chops and veggies...prob carrots.
have a good afternoon y'all!
