QOTD: Well with having a small farm there are always outdoor activities that need to be done daily, but as the weather gets cooler and the days shorter I start to shift towards what do I have to get put up before snow falls. Like you I definitely get a bunch more physical activity in the Summer time there is always something going on.
When I was younger I walked or rode my bike all Spring, Summer, and Fall. Now I am happy to be at the pool and sitting in the sun. I am usually cold and appreciate the hot days and warm sunshine. Winter gets more depressing every year and I understand why people to south. I keep thinking about North Carolina. My sister and her husband have a home there and said I can move in with them any time.
I love my condo and my cat so staying here as long as I can.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I just can't stay idle, plus it's not good to sit around I've seen far to many family members and friends have serious medical issues as they got older due to not moving.
Good morning, everybody!
I had my second to last outdoor swim class last night. I was happy because I felt like I swam well. I am going to try to get in the water today as well because with the end of the summer break, there are not a lot of opportunities left to swim. And the Chicago Triathlon is fast approaching. I guess that kind of answers Matt's question on the other thread. Generally, more Crossfit and less outdoor running and swimming during the cooler (and probably more important , darker months). I do love my reindeer runs , though. And Chrissy will be glad to know that I am signed up for Run with The Nuns.
I am headed to the doctor's to get my tooth pulled this afternoon. It will be a relief to have it out, I have been worried that it would break off and I would swallow it.
QOTD: No. I don't regularly drink coffee. Usually just if I'm cold. I will ask Lisa if that is what she drinks, I know she can't drink real coffee and has something that she calls fake coffee, but I don't know if its made from mushrooms.
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: pasta
Dinner: Depending on my tooth, it might just be yogurt or something like that.
Have a great day, all!

Good luck at the DMV, I hope it goes smooth. I just replied to the other post but to answer this QOTD: I tend to walk more outside and try and enjoy fresh air during breaks when I can.
Good Morning! You are always very busy, how do you do it?! I have a few meetings today and then I am contimplating asking to WFHa few hours tomorrow to take care of a few daily reports but taking most of the day off- we will see what today looks like and if I have any action items after my meetings today.
QOTD: I disklike mushrooms and I don't think I could get it out of my head even if everyone says it doesn't taste like mushrooms. I am curios on what you think though.
Menu- same as yesterday and exercise is also done. Water and vits are on track.
I hope everyone has a great day.
Good morning all and Happy Tuesday,
We're already one day closer to the weekend!
We had severe thunderstorms last night and the rain was torrential. I sat with the dog, watching as the storm wrapped it's tight grasp around Chicago. It was Awesome.
The storm is setting the stage for lower temps, which are very welcome.
Twenty minutes ago, I snagged a coveted , elusive DMV appt for 9:30. My morning will now be spent waiting at the DMV to get a new license with my current address. My license expires in November so two birds, one stone, one happy Matt.
QOTD- As Summer is starting to be on the outs, how does your outdoor physical activity change to reflect the new weather, amount of daylight, and changing of seasons?
In the summer, getting physical activity in is easy, as I don't need to count steps when being at fests, farmers markets, beaches, parks, walking the dog and casually strolling around different neighborhoods. I'm a lot more active in summer, knowing the Chicago 100 days of summer goes very quick.
B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, cherries.
L: Rib tips and beans. Salad.
D: Chicken marsala and mushrooms, green beans.
Have a Vünderbar Tuesday y'all.

Happy Tuesday Gang. We ended up doing a quick session of just the weight machines at the Y last night because I had taken a quarter of one of the pigs out of the freezer and had to get it cut up and grind what I wanted to make into sausage and such. It's a time consuming job, but I'm trying to clear out one of the freezers to make room for chickens we will be doing in a couple of months. There is no rest for the wicked. LOL
I'm back in the scale house today and tomorrow, but at least I don't have anything to do outside in the heat. I plan on cleaning up a little more in here and Renee is supposed to be back next Wednesday.
QOTD: Has anyone here ever tried RYZE mushroom coffee? I've seen commercials for it for a while now and finally decided to get some. I'm trying it today for the first time so will let you all know tomorrow how it is. Supposedly it helps with brain fog, focus, energy, and digestion.
B: coffee and squash and eggs
L: ham and cheddar wrap and trying the RYZE coffee
D: salad with pork burgers
treadmill and swimming at the Y
Have a great day everyone!!
Most of the blueberries are froze to be used in yogurt and other things this Winter. I did make two lemon blueberry loaves one got frozen the other one was gone in two days lol. The peaches I just grabbed because I know how much Irvin loves them.
Fresh seafood is the biggest perk of living in New England. When we have the time we go fishing and clamming which is a lot of fun.
- PS- well this was a first...Pouchie closed up today. I had that few bites of super chopped cottage cheese chicken salad this afternoon, no bueno and I had to get it out. Luckily a canned protein shake was chilled, that worked fine. The propofol shut it down? That's never happened after a colonoscopy before.
