That is a key for me - eating what I really want and like. I go to great lengths to plan what I really enjoy/crave to help from feeling deprived.

QOTD- I used to track religiously but it takes me to a bad place so I don't do it anymore or infrequently.
I'm not a baseball fan but did those fans really think ripping the ball out of that guys glove was going to make a difference?
It's windy and cold out an the leaves are flying off the trees. It's supposed to rain tonight and Halloween I was planning on just putting a bowl of candies out but I'm not sure how to keep them dry. Maybe I'll just give up and turn off the lights and donate the candy, I really, really don't need it.
It was a beautiful sunrise this morning. Have a great day everyone!

If the Dodgers don't win tonight in NY, they will be back in LA on Friday 11/1. I'd love to see them win on their own turf.

Sorry to hear about JB's dad. Hope you're feeling better soon. Drink as much as you can. You can really dehydrate if you do not stay on top of it. Also, if it last more than 2 days I would get to the doctor.

Good Morning Amy and Menuers,
I didn't get back to read the thread yesterday because I had my PCP appointment. It went well. I do have to do a bone density and colonoscopy but nothing I didn't already know. I see Grimm is back and the solar is on. The biggest thrill is the 2 electric bill. I went from $280 to $8. It was exciting. It took me a bit to build solar up because they turned in on in December. Congratulations to Lisa for her new vet status. You're killing it.
QOTD: Very rarely do I track. I use the scale as my tracker. I know if I am up from the day before I need to cut back. I never was a big tracker, but I agree when you tracking it is the best accountability going.

I think the secret is to never feel deprived. Make sure you get to eat what you really want and make sure you learn to eat it in small enough quantities. My Fitness Pal is wonderful for tracking and getting a good idea of the calories. I also found reading labels to be a big help. Often I want something but when I read the label and see what is really in it, I might leave it in the store. I know this is easier said than done. It takes a lot of work, educating yourself, and learning to make the right decisions, and forgiving yourself when you make the wrong decision. Pick yourself up and start over. Lots and lots of times.
