Aw, hugs for you over losing some of your fur babies. Before we were TNR'ing I had no idea they spayed and terminated pregnancies at the same time. It must be so very hard on the vet and techs. Have to admit a guilty pleasure of mine is watching TinyKittensHQ on Youtube, a cat rescue who do amazing work in Langley, B.C. It can help you get your kitten fix when they just aren't affordable in real life.

Sure hope you can get your blood sugar under control, I've seen with family how very hard that can be. Hang in there and keep after that PCO.

QOTD: Thinking at least the next two months my face is going to look pretty swollen and gross. No idea what kind of lifting limits he'll put on me, I just know I don't want to do a single thing to damage the surgery. DD wants to book me for lots of babysitting in advance which would normally be fun and fine but...the thought of getting my face whacked by a toddler or having to lift any of the kids scares me. I've never been this scared before a surgery before. If it were up to me, we'd just see them socially and in my hiding time I'd sew Christmas gifts or make crafty things for presents.

So in the middle of Plumageddon '25 we had the reroofing started today and it was a bazillion degrees inside and out. If we had a walk in cooler that'd be nice to hold the fruit. It would always be fun to know how many pounds we get off that Italian plum tree but it is always a hectic rush to deal with it, haha. And because of it I didn't have much time to eat anything. My breakfast shake finally happened at 2, haha. Lunch was a quarter of a plum by the time I added up some of the slices I tasted. Too busy for dinner but before bed I'll drink a rtu protein shake.

Hope everybody had a great day, see you probably late tomorrow again. Pre-op appt. tomorrow. If they weigh me I don't want to know because I always weigh more later in the day.

We were going to get one of the stray momma cats spayed today. They wouldn't do it because she has a slight upper respiratory infection. Understandable of course. So we took her to the vet to get some meds. They said it was mild and it should clear up. The program to fix them said they'd do it next week. She is the sweetest cat ever. I wish we could find her a good home. I just think she deserves a nice warm home. To not have any more litters of kittens.

QOTD- No plans so far, I can't believe that I'm saying this but I can't wait for the rain.

Another 90+ degree day today. I really am looking forward to cooler weather.

My roommate is spending this week with his fiance. So I have the house to myself. Keeping my fingers crossed that he gets married and moves out. He also needs a job.

I keep looking at houses and wishing I could sell this place and move into a one story. I'm done with stairs the plate and 4 screws in my wrist are enough to convince me.

I had 3 kittens when I got mine, and lost one of them at 1 1/2 to kidney failure. So now it is 2 but honestly I can't imagine my life without them.

Have a great day everyone!

I would have cried over the baby kitten too. My husband spent years with physical therapy for shoulder pain. An operation finally relieved it but there was a painful six months recovery time.

Good morning y'all!

I'm up and running early. We're taking one of the momma cats to get spayed today, at least we're hoping they'll do it. She is pregnant so we're really torn about it. With what's happened to their last litters it's the best thing to get done now. Carl is now Cheeto and at my brothers house. I got really attached to the little bugger. I cried over it to be honest. There was just no way to keep 4 cats financially.

i'm still slowly losing weight still but my blood sugar are absolutely **** I am pissed. I am trying something new this week and if it doesn't work out I'll be contacting my PCO AGAIN. So frustrating

QOTD: what is the rest of the year looking like so far?

nothing exciting here. I've decided Christmas is a cash gift holiday for me. So that eases a lot of stress. I may be facing shoulder surgery(I find out tomorrow) so that'll limit it a lot. Lol

B: protein bar

L: chimichanga

D: salad

pics of the cats!

Since Dad never got the son I think he wanted I tried to pal around and do some guy stuff with him. That paid off...one of the best toys I ever got was a 1960's hydraulic lift blue and white Tonka pickup dump truck. Still have it (and the stuffed Beagle he gave me) and the hydraulic still works. And yes, I got all the girl appropriate role modelling toys too. Even still have my aqua Suzy Homemaker oven and both my daughter and all the grands have played with it. With MASSIVE supervision, lol. When we moved in the 70's all my girl friends had bedrooms overflowing with stuffed animals.

How is it Friday already? It has been such a busy time around here that I could swear it was just Monday. Your mama buns really did great...that's a lot of babies! Your unicorn story is so sweet, no wonder you still have it today.

QOTD: I always wanted a fancy, articulated soft teddy bear. But being doll crazy that didn't happen. Dad brought home a rock-hard 'plush' brown and white beagle (he said it was named Snoopy but everybody knows Snoopy is black and white, lol) after yearly training school in Dayton. That was my only stuffed animal until someone gave me one of those carnival-prize bears when I was a snotty teenager. Hubby came through though...as newlyweds he gifted me 7 Steiff bears while we lived in Germany.

Food was:

B: a cup of coffee with a treat...a tablespoon of powdered creamer. It tasted like desert.

L: My protein/collagen shake.

Snack: one wedge of Laughing Cow Lite

D:2 cups zucchini and 1 cup mushrooms cooked in 1 cup of no-sodium chicken broth and topped with 1 tablespoon shakey Parm.

Might have 10 shrimp for a late snack.

Have a fun weekend everybody! If you barbecue, enjoy delicious food. It's going to be a preserving weekend, so glad for a wall-unit a/c in the kitchen. The regular a/c can't keep up with that much heat in that room.

Teddy bears were started in 1902, when Theodore Roosevelt was on a bear hunt and refused to shoot a bear that had been captured by someone else.
