Good Morning Menuer's. Looks like we might have a little break from rain. While I know it is beneficial this time of year holy moly have, we had some heavy storms roll through.

The inventory went pretty well yesterday. We might have to take a hit on a few things because some employees do not put pick slips in for when they take a part out of the warehouse. But it shouldn't be too bad.

I told my plant manager once the weather clears up, I'm going to start cleaning up the conference room chairs. During Covid we had to spray a sanitizer all throughout the offices, breakrooms, bathrooms, and control room, unfortunately the spray rusted the chairs in the conference room since they are leather with chrome finished legs and side arms. I have a plan to cover the leather part with plastic and then sand the chrome parts and repaint them with a spray rust oleum paint.

QOTD: If you could selfheal one part of your body, what would it be? My skeleton hands down so my joints don't bother me when it rains or if I'm doing a lot of heavy physical work.

B: coffee and eggs and squash

L: tossed salad with chicken salad

D: yankee pot roast with green beans and mashed potatoes

30 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the vibration platform

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!!

Good morning, everybody!

I had two early calls this morning, so just getting around to posting. Marilyn and my youngest son are away this week, so it's just me and my older son holding down the fort.

I don't have too much going on today - need to mow the lawn, go to CrossFit and I have a call this afternoon. Hopefully, the shop will get back with an estimate about my car. And my son is making chili. I'm happy to have that for dinner the next three nights to save on cooking.

QOTD: I am on the Baritrician/Surgeon model, so I see the Baritrician once a year and she does my bloodwork. Generally, I am well nourished. I probably eat a lot for an WLS patient.

breakfast: bagel

lunch: roast beef

dinner: chili

Have a great day, all!

Good mornin y'all!

not much happening around here today. We'll be going to Walmart, we keep forgetting a few things but I have the list in my purse already. It's rainy and supposed to be that way all day into tomorrow. We've had flooding around the city. I bet we've gotten at least 2-3 inches.

I'm having a hard time with the iron supplement. It just makes me miserable. I see my doctor in June so I'm going to ask what other options there are. The GI doc said I need shots or infusion. I don't know what's best. The B12 shots are not helping too much. I have zero energy. I also found out yesterday that I have to do another 6 weeks of PT for my shoulder. EVEN though I was told by the therapist that it would not help AND that I've already done it. It wasn't recent enough. Heavily annoyed.

QOTD: I get regular testing but probably not all that I need to. I finally got the list from my bariatric surgeon so I can give it to my PCP. I am getting more testing done in the 30th of this month. Mainly to test my kidneys but also A1c.

B: street taco zero carb tortilla, egg, beef bacon, cheese and coffee

L: undecided

D: maybe a salad with diced chicken breast and a small avocado

Good Morning! Yesterday was long and stressful in the afternoon since we didn't get all of the paperwork we needed from other departments to get distribution ready. Overall, I'm proud of my team and how they handled it all and the new team member is really doing well so today I'll focus on those aspects in our debrief.

QOTD: Because I have iron issues, I get my bloodwork done twice a year (I think he runs pretty much everything since it's usually 7-8 vials) and review it with my hematologist. It seems about every year and a half. I have to have an iron infusion to keep things level. When I start having symptoms, they begin with leg cramps and Charlie horses in my calves.

I always do my bloodwork and we make adjustments based on that. I feel like a chemistry experiment sometimes. I do get more blood work if I feel more tired or if something is not right. Hope everything goes well with the inventory and you feel good soon. You have really stepped up to keep this thread going and it is very appreciated.

Good Tuesday Morning gang. This is going to be quick as I have to help with the warehouse inventory. I have to send a message to my bariatric center to see if they will do some bloodwork. I've felt a bit tired lately, but it could be from doing extra stuff outside. It's always best to get things checked yearly.

QOTD: Who here makes sure to annual bloodwork done to make sure things are in check? I do and if for some reason I feel something is off I ask for more to be done.

B: coffee and corn muffin

L: salad with grilled chicken

D: Pork tacos

30 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the vibration platform

Topic: One Step closer

Today I had my psychological evaluation for weight loss surgery--and it honestly meant more to me than I expected.

This journey has never just been about my size. It's about my pain, my habits, my healing. For years, food was my comfort, my shield, my escape. But now, I'm facing everything head-on--with heart, with honesty, and with help.

The evaluation gave me a chance to reflect on how far I've come. I talked about my past struggles, my emotional eating, my support system, and what drives me to change. It reminded me that I'm not just transforming my body--I'm reshaping my entire life.

One step closer to surgery. One step closer to freedom.
And I'm proud of myself for every single one
