Jennifer: sounds like things are going well and the audit will end today. Audits are always a bit stressful no matter what you did to prepare, so you will be more relaxed when it is over. I used to work with auditors all time and worked to prepare our staff for audits. Make sure their work was up to date and they understood what to say when questioned.
One of the things I told them was only answer the question, don't elaborate. I would say "Do you have a watch?" They would look at their wrist and then say "Yes it is 2:15." I told them that is the wrong answer. The correct answer is "Yes" or "No". Do not add anything else. I was in charge of security and sadly I knew where some of the bodies were buried and did not tell the auditor anythng that they were not resourceful enough to ask about. If they asked the right question we answered honestly but if they did not ask we did not tell.
I loved meetings as long as the agenda was planned and stuck to. I started after high school as a clerk and saw the "important" people going to meetings. After I finished college I was working jobs where planning and meetings were needed. I enjoyed all of it. The big conference rooms with tables and comfortable chairs and different types of speakers and agendas.
It was 89 here yesterday. I did not switch on the air conditioner because I did not feel that warm. The furnace is off and the house is at 72 and that feels good to me. I will be switching it to air if it gets above 74. I don't mind the heat but other people would.
Mel: that is a strange pliers. Almost looks like a torture device.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I'm 100% with you on the intrusive thoughts that would be me also. LOL
The pliers made me scratch my head so I had to look them up and low an behold I found a tutorial about how to use them. I actually think they might be helpful for you Mel when you do the chainmail.

Mornin y'all!
we got a lot of rain during the night. Supposed to get severe stuff today but I'm hoping that doesn't happen.
Feeling kind of rough around the edges today. Not sure what that's about. Hopefully it'll wear off as the day goes by. I need to work on chainmaille today. I have two bracelets to finish then I have an idea for a necklace that I think will be killer. I got the general idea from a fellow chainmailler/friend. Hoping it'll be as good as I'm hoping.
QOTD: not my thing from what few times I've had to do it.
B: egg, low carb street taco size tortilla, Gorgonzola, 2 crackers and coffee
L: depends on what if anything my mom decides to do today.
D: thinking chicken stuffed with Brie
check out these pliers. How is this even functional really? The side ones would be so awkward to use.
Happy Friday Eve Gang. I'm posting super early because I know the auditors are going to be at the plant for 7am again. Boy did it get warm yesterday and today we are supposed to hit our first 90 degree day here in CT. We had to put the AC on at work and when I got home Irvin had the central air on and the haze from the Canadian wildfires is affecting the air quality so that isn't helping much. I did more gardening and decided to name the resident garden snake Loki. Not sure if it is a female or male, but as long as it keeps the pests away I don't care. Like I've said before I'm afraid of snakes, but I know they are beneficial to the environment.
I had to order pizza for lunch today and we have an ice cream truck coming for the guys also. Hopefully tomorrow the auditors are only here for a half a day and then things can get back to normal.
QOTD: Do you like sitting in on meetings/conferences? Me not really. I get bored and tired unless I'm presenting something which doesn't happen often. To sit and listen to someone talk really isn't my cup of tea.
B: coffee and egg/cheese wrap
L: pizza
D: grilled chicken (since I didn't make it last night)
Off to get on the treadmill
Have a great day everyone!!!!

Thank you, that's why I haven't seen them. Eastern Washington is Aldi-less. Sure hope they decide to come to Washington one of these days.

I'm thinking July also.

Nope that is going to have to wait a bit. I might do it when I'm off for a week in July.
Good morning Mel thanks for starting us off. I got stuck in an early morning meeting and just now was able to get on the computer. I didn't expect the VPP auditors to be here before 10am, but there were here at 7am. I ended up working until 4:30 yesterday just to make sure they didn't need anything. Day one went well and we are well into day 2.
When I got home yesterday I worked on getting more things done outside and didn't get back in the house until 8:30. I do love this time of year when the days are longer. My SIL is giving me nine 7-gallon landscape pots to plant more stuff in and I'm giving her some started plants.
QOTD: My perfect weather day is 75 sunny with a slight breeze to keep the bugs away. I like to feel the sun and soak it up while I'm outside it's the best vitamin D around.
B: just coffee
L: catered lunch
D: grilled chicken breast with tossed salad
Have a wonderful day everyone.
