Topic: Pain...
I'm am 16 days post op and started back to work yesterday-I have an office job so I thought I would be ok, I was feeling great yesterday am-problem now is I have an awful pain that won't go away-similar to the pain I had about 4 days post op. Has anyone had this problem? I don't think I "over did" anything, any help would be great!

If you are pre op, post op, curious, interested, have a loved one or a friend who's thinking about WLS, please consider joining us.
The meeting is open to the public and will include people who will talk about all types of WLS and will undoubtedly be an enjoyable place to share and learn.
If you're interested, please email so I can keep you posted. And please feel free to pass my email address along to anybody who may want to contact me but doesn't access the board.
Blessings to you. Hope to hear from you soon.

Topic: RE: Staple failure?
I am hoping if the staples disolve themselves over the years. The wound of the stomache should have already healed and joined permanently. I feel sure the staples disolve after so long. Good Luck!!!
Topic: RE: Vomitting
Hi There,
I go through weeks of vomiting all the time and then I won't for a month. I can eat something one day and not able to later that day. I think of my new stomach as a personality of it's own. Some days it's crabby and doesn't want to work with me and others it's ready to be on my side. I find that chewing more than anything else will help. I also slow wayyyyyyyy down that helps it go down and stay down. I am almost a year out, so I think this will just be something I will have to live with. But that's ok.

Topic: RE: Trouble with Staples?
You should find a doc that does surgery laproscopic or if open is required for whatever reason, sutures can be done. Some do have reactions to the staples but that are other chioces available. I had lap surgery last week and to close me they used a special glue and steristrips.

Hi katrina,
Congratulations on your weightloss so far!!! It took me about 2-4 weeks to get my energy back. I still napped in the afternoon a lot for that first month because doing little things would make me so tired, but now at a little more than a year out I have more than enough energy. I can barely sit still sometimes. It's wonderful
I remember back when i was 356 and I could barely move, so obviously I wouldn't trade those few weeks of feeling less than myself for anything. U will have more energy than u know what to do with soon enough
Good luck to you and if you ever have any questions for me please feel free to email me directly!
Hugs,

Hi Paula, I see you too have surgery coming up. I believe VGB will work as well as any surgery as long as we set our mind to it and really work at it. There is just less risk with VGB and thats why I feel comfortable with it. I dont look to loose weight fast, just steady will be fine for me. Good Luck and keep in touch. Cathy
