4 Weeks Out - Average Weight Loss?

I had my surgery on March 1st, so this is the end of my 4th week, and I have lost 22 lbs.  I was wondering what is the average at this point?

I lost most of that the first two weeks during the liquid protein drink portion, which I could not handle very well.  I have lost 4 lbs. since I have started eating real food again.  I keep the protein/carb ratio pretty close to what the doctor recommended and I am exercising 6 days a week.  Walking 2 miles per day and a little weight-lifting for my arms.

Thanks in advance for sharing!

Just want to caution you against asking for this kind of info - it can really mess with your head to start comparing.

Amen to that! Especially food questions because our NUT and doctors are all so different! haha

What is your doctors protein/carb ratio?

I agree with acbbrown, comparison can be a killer to your motivation.  Remember, God made us all different, we all started at different weights, heights and medical issues.   Males lose quicker than females.  Hormones play a role.  I sometimes freak out reading certain posts because I feel I have not done as well as others.  But the truth is... I am doing well for me and my body.  That is what matters.

You are doing great.  Any loss, is a loss.  Losing quickly isn't always the best... less time for lose skin to tone up if you lose it too quickly.  Plus, the goal is to lose it and keep it off and stay healthy while doing it.  Forming good habits along the way and learning the hard to learn lessens when we do something non-beneficial.  Those are the lessens we remember.

Keep up the good work of losing and exercising!

“Not many of us are living at our best.  We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains.  The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills.  We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence.  What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb.  What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.?  JRM
