The lowest ive been in the last 6 months is 52. Try as I might, I just cannot do lower. I think I'm around 55 for today, and I feel like a walking zombie. My carbs are typically in the 70-80, sometimes 100-140, but i'm pretty active. I do probably lose slower than most people, but that's my choice.

Yeah, Alison - a real slow loser!  Like, 120 pounds in 10 months??  How can you hold your head up around here?

50 is the lowest that I've been since surgery; 70-80 was typical early on and 100-120 later during the loss phase and that didn't seem to slow me down (and if it did, it was a blessing.)

Increasing, or just changing the exercise routine, can often break stalls, as can altering the overall caloric intake (some find increasing it temporarily works if they are usually very low, or vice versa try lowering it if you normally run on the high side.) Some swear by dropping the carbs to very low levels, while others find increasing them works better, particularly when accompanied by increased exercise. I found later on that increased complex carbs an hour or so before a workout (at about the same overall calorie level) added endurance and allowed me to burn more calories than I ever could by lowering the carbs. YMMV

My plan calls for less than 50g a day. I try to keep it under and generally do well for 3-4 days then I easily creep up close to 75-100g. I think it's this whole 'I've done so good I need a reward' mentality. I'm not a dog who needs snacks to do her tricks but it's so hard for me.

These last 10 pounds are freaking killing me!!!

Any advice?? Should I cut the carbs way way down and white knuckle it?? Just try and keep it under 50 and increase my exercise??

Thanks!!

The last ten pounds sucked big time for me.  Took me 2.5 months to get them off.  I had to hold my carbs under 20, calories closer to 600 (wow, that's hard at 10 months out!), upped my water to 100, and upped my exercise.  That was me... may or may not be the best route for everyone.

Good luck and keep us posted!  You got this!

Ugh, right there now. I'm capping at 800 cals, and some days kinda feel like I may want to push that lower just to give myself a little ooomph over the edge here.. Patience! *looks around to find it where I put it*

This is where I am, too.  I have 10-15 more I want to lose to get to my personal goal.  I'm going to have to cut back on calories and carbs, as well.  I don't eat flour, potatoes, rice, pasta, at all.  Haven't since surgery.  But I do have a small amt of fruit, veggies, beans occasionally (in chili), and I get some extra carbs through yogurt and other dairy.

It's hard to cut back at this point!  And as Frisco said, I'm fighting for every pound at this point.  So time for me to buckle down and GET 'ER DONE!

 Thanks so much everyone.

I'm just going to have to do this!!!!

Im going to try cutting the carbs to about 30, increasing the calorie burn through exercise and bump up the water. I had not really thought too much abou****er. I've incorporated a tiny bit of caffeine back in the mornings and have been slacking with the water. Great ideas, y'all!!

Thanks mucho!!

All the latest data says to include coffee into your day, in moderation--like 2-3 cups per day. It increases metabolism, has a protective quality for the heart, and is an anti-oxidant. Everywhere I turn these last few weeks, there is an article about the good effects of coffee and helping with weight loss and heart disease prevention. I have added it back into my daily routine--so happy it is now an approved food.  Oh Oh--another thing I read is that it is supposed to stave off gall bladder attacks--the one thing us WLS folks are prone to.
