This time tomorrow.....

At this time tomorrow, I'll have already had my silly juice, and the doctor will be forming my new tummy to help me form my new future.

I'm a little scared, but more excited.  My husband won't be here, which I think makes me more scared than anything else, although I have no idea why.

My mom gets here tonight, and will be taking me to the hospital, then will let my husband and kids know when I'm out of surgery.  Then she'll be bringing me home Friday and waiting with me until the hubby man gets off duty and comes home.

It's been a big week at our house.  We've become part of a new firefighting department "family", and now my surgery is tomorrow.

House is stocked with nothing but "legal" liquids for after surgery, so even if I "want" something, it ian't here for me to have.  Hubby man will be going out to eat for the weekend, so that I won't have to watch him eat, lol.

Hospital bag is already packed, with all the great suggestions I've seen here in other posts.  House is almost clean (will finish that tonight), and laundry is all done and put away.  Mom will be taking care of the furry critters while I'm gone.

I can't think of anything else I need to do, other than screw my head on straight and get through the work day, then take a super long hot shower tonight......and get up in the morning and take this huge step to a better, healthier future.

To all the people who have posted such fantastic advice, thank you very much, you've made this much more exciting, and much less daunting.

You are going to do great, just remember to concentrate on hydration for the first few weeks.  Bring chapstick to the hospital as your lips might be dry.  I am excited for you, can't wait to read your "I'm home and doing great" post.

So, so exciting, and nerve wracking! You are going to do great, please keep us updated.

Oh and I went to the hospital all by myself, literally, my mom dropped me off in front and I was on my own, in the end I was very pleased with that b/c all I wanted to do after was sleep and be left alone (and husbands have a way of hoovering that probably would have made me want to hit him LOL).
