The R-value of the insulation of your building may be low. Also, your employee might be a cheap hoser trying to save a little money on heating costs (which aren't so little). But it's probably also because you're losing weight:

Normative people have some fat, most is white and some is brown. White fat stores energy. Brown fat burns energy to increase body heat. (So what's got a lot of brown fat? Newborn babies, and hibernating animals like bears). Obese people are already too hot, so brown fat transform to regular white fat. You lose weight, your insulation, and you're cold. It takes 1-2 years for your body to make more brown fat.

According to quantum mechanics, a piece of string is a infinite number of sizes, ranging from nothing to the size of everything, all at the same time.

Not sure I believe that one.
