Wow! Wednesday meeting? I know there is usually a Thursday meeting at Beaumont in Troy. We have to talk! :)

Lol, I didn't know there were meetings in Troy, but had heard there were some in Rochester on Thursdays. Wednesdays, Royal Oak center (14 and Coolidge) and they start at 6. My schedule will open up after next week so I will go regularly again. Would love to talk- :)

I live in Ionia County..and my surgeon was Dr. Foote at Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids. Wonderful surgeon..would definitely recommend him!!

VSG on 04/30/13

I had surgery 4/30/13 with Dr Michael Wood at harper dmc in Detroit. I don't live in detroit though. Did a lot of research and Dr. Wood is awesome. He and his co-worker invented the Sapala-Wood micro pouch. So far I've lost 25 lbs.

I used Dr. Baker at Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids, MI. Love their office, staff and like all my docs there. I had mine at Saint Mary's because for some reason, that is what the insurance approved. But normally they do whatever hospital you want. Metro or Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids. Not sure where you are located, but if you are near GR, that is what I would recommend.

Royal Oak Beaumont, Dr. Chengalis, and I had spectacular results. Great comprehensive program there if you take advantage of all that is offered. Can't recommend him enough!

Like Dawnie, I am in Ionia County and I had mine in Grand Rapids with Dr. Baker at GHP. Surgery was at Blodgett. Love their whole practice. I was one of the lucky few who developed strictures and Dr. Kemmeter dialated one of them, loved him, too.

I'm in the Gun Lake area and I too used GHP (Dr. Foote). I was sleeved the same day as Dawnie so it will be 3 years this coming July . I've been THRILLED with how everything went and I love that I have an appointment every year for a check up to keep me on track.

Oops.....I was wrong.....I was sleeved about a week after Dawnie (thinking of someone else).

I haven't met my "personal goal" and I may never meet it, but I'm at a comfortable weight that I can easily maintain and I still occasionally lose a bit here and there so I'm not worried about it.
