Not a great answer here, but cereal problems: sugar, carbs, and consumed with liquids (aka "a no-no").

I've been curious myself about the benefit of using a fiber cereal in spite of the risk factors.  I know some who is it with Greek yogurt then blend it, but that all seemed just too much effort for cereal when othe options are available.

I am assuming that there isn't any of them that will work but I figured it can't hurt to ask :)

I use oatmeal because it is a good carb. I don't care for it with milk so I have mixed it with greek yogurt, or peanut butter, or a small amount of fruit and a little yogurt. Anyway I do it it is a powerhouse and sticks with me all morning. I can survive those carbs and they never slowed my weight loss. Another cereal my nut suggested is Kashi Go Lean. I have mixed it with greek yogurt, too. Not all carbs are evil. Try to keep them down but good grains, fruit and veggies, even beans have been a good thing for my weight loss.

You may want to talk with your doctor or nutritionist. Now and then I want cereal for breakfast but I find that they don't hold me up as long.

My NUT suggested low fat instant oatmeal (any flavor, blended), cream of wheat, or cream of rice for the liquid stage. No cold cereals were recommended in my book that I was given, but she said if you let cheerios or corn flakes sit in fat free mil****il they're soggy, and you chew them really well, you might be able to eat them.

That is just the plan I am on though. You can always ask your NUT I suppose.

I ate tiny amounts of oatmeal during weightloss, but it will depend on the carb level you choose.

Always a giod idea to follow ur plan.  I can only suggest that as long as you aware and planful of the foods you incorporate in uour dat and track your carbs. Go for it and enjoy your cereal. My plan allowed corn flakes..oatmeal and cream of wheat in small amounts once a day. Kashi go lean and any whole grain cereal..no sugary ones..all sound like good choices. Better to stay on the low calories low carb options.

Hi

At http://www.mybariatricpantry.com/ they have an instant protien oatmeal that is 100 calories and 15 grams of protien.  It's not the best but it worked for me when craving cereal.  I also like to keep it at work for a late afternoon snack.
