I definitely agree, the Balconette at LB are the best bras I have EVER owned!! They are amazing!!!!! Best money I've spent in a long time!!! I will be watching for me sales as I continue to lose weight and change bra sizes!! I'll never buy another brand of bra again!!

Mitzy, I also have to agree that the LB Bras are the best ones to help us during this face of the WLS.  However, I also want it to point out that stores like target and walmart carry good bras too. I would suggest you look for bras with underwire, shaped cups and thick bands...I find these the best one to hold everything in....do not go for the skinny ones just yet. Good Luck! Beatriz

I'm a 40DD these days and have been very happy with the Vassarette bras I get at the local Walmart. I don't know how to tell you which model except to say that they have a sort of shiny zebra/tiger pattern to the fabric. They are underwire and have one seam diagonally in the cup. The pattern is a bit over the top for me, but no one sees the stupid thing anyway. Give it a try. Everyone's breasts are different, but these may work for you.

I went from a 48DD to a 38D (yikes!).  I got these really nice Bali bras at Lane Bryant when they were on sale.  Then I realized there was an entire Bali Outlet Store across the way where they were probably even cheaper!  I'm going to try that place next.  I don't like underwires AT ALL!  Even when I was 48 DDD, I wore no wires.  They didn't support me any better and they dug into my side.  So, anyhow, try the bali soft cups.  They are very comfortable and lift nicely as well.  We gotta get those girls up there!!!

I buy Gillian O Malley bras at Target - they copy a lot of victorias secrets style... not sure if they carry your size or not since my poor boobs are much smaller :-) I buy their padded bras and then bought the bra insterts (also available at Target) to fill out the space. I currently wear a C but my breasts are more B sized... however if I wear a B they look all squishy funny... in the C bra I only fill out the lower half which is why I get the padded and add the inserts so my breasts are actucally boob shaped. *sigh* they are cheap too... less than $20 and are comfy.

Are you actually allowed to try on bra's at walmart and target? I was never sure so I would just buy what size i thought I actually needed.

Hi Mitzy, I use the bras from Lane Bryant ( the one that have the straps you can change 6 different ways) I am a 40DD and I like the fact that they have a little bit of padding that smoothes me out and they offer pretty good support too. I teach colorguard and dance and they hold me in when I am running around jumping and such. The best time to get them is when they are having their semi annual sales where they offer them buy one get one free or buy one get one half off.  I know they are expensive ( I am a clearance rack fanatic) but they are well worth it. I have tried bras from Target, Mervyns and Wal Mart and even though I paid less, they just didn't have enough support for me and I cannot stand my breasts jiggling everywhere. EWWWW!!!!! Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good Luck!
