I am a year out and I have never dumped, I too always wished I would dump on sugars but I don't. I did real good for the first 6 months, not even attempting sugars but I have since tried them and found out I can handle them:( I honestly wish I would have just stayed away from it forever because now it is a daily battle to not eat sweets. Good luck

I have dumped and it keeps me from even trying things that I know should make me dump.
I tried the S/F ice cream and dumped on it, I have not tried real ice cream nor will I. I also have avoided all sweets just in case. I am not one to test my limits on finding out what will not make me dump.

It's far too early for me to tell, but so far I have been tolerating pureed foods well. I do NOT want to dump. I had gastropaesis for years and never want to experience that again if I can help it.

I don't dump. That being said though I haven't tried anything "big" . I have had one bite of ice cream, and a few bites of cookies, but not a serving. So, Im still afraid at some point I might dump. The fear is a good thing, keeps me from going back to my old ways full force.

I do not dump either!  I can eat or drink anything, nothing bothers me.

I dump on carbs, regular sugar, sugar alcohols and lactose. I can handle cheese and yogurt, but not milk (except in very small amounts). The carbs in vegetables don't seem to bother me (except potatoes), and I can handle fruit sugars, except for one time when I ate too many over ripe grapes.

Now, I have had tiny bites of sweets - just enough to get the taste, which, surprisingly, totally satisfied me.

I'm so glad I dump because it keeps me honest - heh!

It'**** or miss for me.  Somethings I can have and be fine--the next time I try them, I dump.

For example, on my birthday, my mother in law made me carrot cake.  I had a very small piece [two or three bites--no more or less] and was perfectly fine.  Last night at church we were celebrating a friend's birthday, I took two small bites of carrot cake and immediately felt flush, heart racing, shaky...all that fun stuff.  Apples are the same way.  I can have an apple one day, and be fine, and then try one a week later, and dump.

If anything, it helps me remember moderation.  I take one or two bites of something, wait several minutes, see what happens...and go from there.

I have severe delayed dumping..never dumped till about 10 months out.  I can and have dumped on anything I eat...fruits veggies meat protein powders..Its a hit or miss..I can eat fine for awhile and then I will start dumping again.  Its not fun..I have been hospitalized at least 3 times for dumping and finally had to be put on medication to slow down my digestion. The medicine may have caused liver damage.
This is not a fun thing..if you don't have to..don't test yourself..stay away from things that we are told can cause dumping.  I have actually passed out from it.

Please be very careful and follow what you NUT and drs. tell you is ok to eat.
