A MEDICATION TO HELP WITH POST SURGERY NAUSEA
I had laproscopic surgery in August (fibroid tumor) and the surgeon gave me something to stop me from getting nauseous after surgery. Believe it or not, I forgot to use it (you have to put it on the night before) but luckily I didn't have any problems.
It's a patch that you put behind your ear the night before surgery and just leave it there.
The information from the box:
TRANSDERM SCOP PATCH
SCOPOLAMINE HYDROBROMADE 1.5 mg
Each patch is programmed to deliver in vivo approximately 1.0 mg over 3 days.
This is a medication for motion sickness / traveling but my surgeon said that it works well for surgery patients. After reading about the nausea issues I'm definitely going to email Nina and ask if I can use it because the thought of throwing up after that kind of stomach surgery scares the crap out of me!
