x-post. question on my fitness pall
I just joined it because it seems a popular tool. I added my intake today and it's telling me I'm not eating enough. (I am for where I am) It also tells me how much protein and carbs I should be getting. Is there a way to change the settings to a more bariatric friendly setting.
(It also adds calories to my total by my workouts) Can I stop it doing that too. If I was listening to it as it is set up now, I'd be eating about 15-1600 calories and I'm only 4 months out.

It's a good tracker for food.
I use to guage where I'm "supposed" to be at for total caloric intake, and to keep track of my protein. I know what they suggest, but I go with the numbers my NUT suggested and some things my trainer suggested.
I enter my workouts in myfitnesspal, but I enter the calories my machine gave me....and I just laugh when it gives me "bonus calories'. You can also change their number to zero.
Unfortuntey, it doesn't have a bariatric setting, but you can guage your own numbers.

Across the top click the "My Home" tab.
Below it click "Goals"
At the bottom of the resulting page click the green "Change Goals" button.
Choose the "Custom" button and click "Continue"
Change your goals and click "Change Goals" at the bottom.
Note: It will still nag you once a day about not eating enough. Doesn't matter if you're 4'2" with 200 lbs to lose, MyFitnessPal will nag you at less than 1200 calories a day. I think it's a liability issue. But the rest of the stuff will be what you need.
