nonadjustable band then redo to RNY

 I am new to this website.Is there anyone out there that has has a band (mine in 1991) then hada a RNY, I am going to next month.

I am having my band of 7 years removed in 2 weeks and converting to bypass.
If you go to the RNY forum, and you may find more band to bypass patients

I had a band for 18 months and then revised to a sleeve.  I've had my revision for almost 4 years now and life with no band is so much easier.

 Go to the revisions forum.  You should find oodles.

 When you say nonadjustable band is it a Molina band? I had mine revised a year ago.

YES!! I can't believe i found someone that knows that name. I went from 320 to 140 after the
"Molina" band, now 21 yrs later I now weigh 250. I don't want to weigh 320 again, I am miserable, and am almost through the pre surgery hoops to get a RNY maybe by the end of April. Did you have a RNY? How was it? Telll me everything you feel comfortable with. I understand it is going to to a big hairy surgery because he has to remove the band, plus I have a hiatal hernia.  Thank you!! 

Please respond.......I need more info ....did yo revise to a  RNY? Complications? my doc is a little worried about what he is going to find. My molina band is from 1991.

I think its a very complicated revision. I hope you have a doc skilled in revising wls not just virgin wls. Is he removing the band or just bypassing the whole thing and leaving it? I hope you have a plan.

Yes, my doc is great, ZERO leak rate, very experinced, did my homework. have you had this done?
