Angel?

I got a message from the founder the morning of surgery saying I should get in contact with my angel? What is this and for what? Do I have to find one? Idk I guess I'm kind confused?

Who is "the founder?"  

Someone at my support group told me they used to have "angels" and it sounded like sort of a mentor-type thing.  You'd be paired up with someone else who would be on call for you if you needed someone to talk with.

Eric Kline is the founder/owner of OH - he's stuck in the day of flip phones if he's still sending that old post out LOL!

I think Eric Kline is the founder of Obesity Help.  

I've never heard of anyone receiving an email from him before regarding an angel.  I hope there weren't any hyperlinks for you to click on.  It could be phishing.

I got the same email sometime last week. They gave me a whole list of things to do pre op and a rundown on the angel thing.

If you have a smartphone you don't have any need of an Angel.   (They used to post and let everyone know you are ok after surgery - most of us can do that in recovery if we're so incined!

If you have someone you like on here, you could ask them to be your mentor, but remember there are lots of people on here who portray themselves as WLS experts when they are very far from that!

Choose someone who is a little way ahead of you, rather than years and beware anyone with a large ego!
