Hi,

I see many of the American patients are able to purchase different bariatric support products, e.g. Foods, Suppliments etc.

Where do you purchase these items from?

I had VSG last week and am new to the boards.

thx.

You have a fully functioning stomach and no altered digestion.  You can eat regular food and take regular vitamins!

Don't waste your money.

As a Canadian in Ottawa who had the VSG, my centre tells me that I still need to take all of the vitamins/minerals that RNY patients take.

I have travelled to the States to stock up on occasion, as their selection varies greatly from ours. As does the cost!

In particular, I have bought my multivitamins there (Centrum Chewable orange flavoured, I take 2 per day) and I am taking Citracal Petites that I found there as well. For some reason, I couldn't find them in Ottawa, even though others told me they are here.

Just a few days ago, knowing that my calcium is running out, I ordered Bariatric Advantage vitamins from amazon.ca.

I don't know if this helps, but if you are Canadian, you may find it useful. If you are in the USA already, you probably know much of this info anyway!

Wishing you all the best!
