I try to bring snacks with me to work... Normally thats a little bag of 1oz beef jerky (Field Trip brand from BJs, 80cal, 1.5g fat, 2g carb, 14g protein)

If I get hungry later, I normally buy a bag of roasted/salted almonds from the breakroom ($1!!)

I bought a giant bag of raw almonds for my wife and I decided to roast my own. I made one batch on my giant cookie sheet of 3 flavors. Each flavor I weighed out 5oz of almonds, tossed with one tablespoon of coconut oil, then tossed with seasonings

Garlic/Onion: 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp salt

Taco: 2 tsp low sodium taco seasoning

Ranch: 2 tsp Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix

Put a piece of foil on my baking sheet and put in preheated oven at 250 degrees for about an hour. I probably should have left in another 15-20 minutes so they were nice and crunchy, but these will be fine.

Weighed out a bag with 1.5oz worth and brought to work with me.

I dont have the macros for the two seasonings, but since theres only 2tsp total, I'm not even concerned about it.

Almonds by themselves are 164cal, 14.3g fat, 5.6g carb, 6g protein

The fat would be a little higher due to the coconut oil. +2.8g fat and +24cal, I guess for calculation.

I, too, am trying your recipes!

Question: Where do you buy Coconut Oil? Would Wegmans have it?

I think you'll enjoy! Before you pull out of oven grab a few and test for doneness to your liking :)

you can get it at Walmart or Publix (local to me) or even Kroger. Or bjs. :)

let me know how you like! I am fasting today but have been in Florida heat building furniture custom for house and was starving so had a handle. So dang good haha
