When I was round, firm and fully packed like a kishka (polish sausage reference!) my dog would stand on my lap.  She's little... only 14 pounds of fluff.  Now that I'm not so firm and fully packed, when she stands on my lap she wobbles like a drunk sailor on rough seas.  Watching her try to walk on my squishy thighs is more entertaining than tv!!!

I have 2 large kitties - both about 18 lbs.  One of them was always a lap kitty, but now that I'm a little smaller the other one has started  sliding himself beside me when I sit on the recliner.  He likes to be nice and tucked away, but there was no place for him to tuck before

My black English ****er - Hedy Lamarr, is just so pleased there is a lap now to sit on.  She doesn't have to grip on to keep from falling off.
