Wide Width athletic shoes for women?

Altra has wide toe boxes, also some Inov8 shoes have wider toe boxes.

New balance would be my first pick, then saucony. I've been hoping to try out ASICS but I'm finding their running shoes has a pretty narrow toe box.

I have been wearing Brooks for the past 3 years and I have loved them. Yesterday, I bought a pair of New Balance. Wore them this morning for a short run without any issues. If you have a running store near you, I would suggest going there and getting fitted. They will usually watch you walk and/or run and will make a suggestion based on that. Made a huge difference for me significantly reducing knee pain once I was in a proper fitting shoe. If you are still in the losing phase, you may want to wait to make the investment because once I lost weight, my shoe size changed.

Asics also run wide and they have been good for my body all the way down from 284 to 167. Agree with the Sacouny. Ryka comes in wide width. Nike's tend to run narrow.

If you are starting your wt loss, I would get a decent pair, b/c your foot size will prob change if you drop 100+.

I'm longing for the day I can fit in normal width shoes again...I have been wearing crocs for years now and when I need extra support I wear Dr. Scholls..They make my feet look like Frankenstein's but omg they are comfy as hell. Try going on some of the plus sized clothing sites. Full Beauty was one that helped me. Also, Romans, Woman Within and of course Amazon. (I found a pair of Asics there for a great price and just the right size)
