After insurance approves, how long before you had the surgery?

I know every surgeon's office is different but I am just curious as to about how long it usually takes to be able to have the surgery once you are approved for it.

Insurance is different for everyone. My insurance required 6 dietician appointments in 6months, before surgery could be scheduled. Others only had 3-4 dietician appointments before surgery. After my 6 months the surgeon scheduled me 2 months out.

Oh I hadn't thought about what my insurance would require!

First I had to complete the six months with the dietitian. After the insurance approved there was six month wait for my surgeon to have an opening.
