ACCOUNTABILITY MISSION: NO MERCY AND NO EXCUSES
Epiphany has past. The Christmas season is officially over. We are out of excuses to cheat ourselves out of the benefits of staying on plan.
TELL THE WHOLE TRUTH AND BE ACCOUNTABLE: Are you genuinely working on your wls, lifestyle change, diet plan, or whatever you want to call it? Or, are you feigning the motions and kidding yourself about the lack of results. Or, perhaps you just don't give a damn at the moment and have not even tried.
We all know having a program and working it is the only option. That includes how you approach food, exercise, supplements, th rules of your particular game, and addressing your food related disfunctions. You know what to do and if you don't you know how to do the research. If you want success get on it now and make it happen.
...All are welcome, jump in at anytime.

I've also cut back on the meet but more as a matter of taste. Veg, beans, legumes, konjac, noodles, with a meat/ seafood more as the side for flavor than an entree. Helps with calorie control when you're on 1100 cal a day for life.
Planning in advance at least gives you a cushion so you can enjoy the culinary delights. We already know that if we don't like it we won't stick with it and end up worse off. You like the efs, why not go back to it or some version? Veg may just not be your thing.

V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
Several BAF vets used supplements a few years post op to help with maintenance or regain. I also have rny friends irl who take amphetamines for appetite control as needed. Some BAF'ers used prescriptions such as amphetamines and vitamin injections. Others used supplements like 5htp. I haven't heard complaints about side effects etc.
This site, http://www.antiaging-systems.com, has a good rundown on supplements they sell for weight control. What works and what does not I could not say. I've ordered from them for years and many products relate to hormone control. I suggest thorough independent research before trying any of these. Some may not be right for your particular health conditions. Good luck.

V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I deleted my account a while ago and so much has happened since then. I used to visit this forum a lot and then LIFE kicked in. Ok so I was sleeved December 8, 2011 and all was well, until I got sick in January 2012. I went to several doctors and not one could tell me what was wrong. I told them I had just gotten the gastric sleeve done...nothing!!
Fast forward to the end of January and I had to make my PCP see me and when he did we found out my gallbladder was only working at 7%!!! I was so pissed! And the surgery had to be emergency because while all that was going on I had to be hospitalized for a really bad UTI because I couldn't eat or drink. I had my gallbladder removed on February 2 and that is when more drama started. A few days after I got home I noticed that I was numb in my stomach , my legs, vaginal, and thigh area.
I told the surgeon and he said it was probably a nerve that was cut...WTH!! To make a long story short...I was partially paralyzed from February to August from a stroke in my spinal cord. After several MRI's they finally found it in December 2012.
I feel horrible because although I have lost a lot of weight, I started back eating stuff that got me to 412. Sitting in the bed everyday took a toll on me and now I'm trying to get ME back. I will be starting therapy soon for the numbness and I'm praying that I can finally get back on track. Thanks for reading, Jessica

Hi Wendy, Yeah the board died a few years back because of facebook. Everyone moved over to facebook, that is where I mostly post now because I get more support from all the oldies and newies but I still come over here to see my girl Marcia and to encourgea the new people that need help.
Also, use a protein based, sulfate free shampoo. Good ones to try are Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Shampoo, Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo, or Revlon's Creme of Nature Moisture & Shine Shampoo with Argan Oil.
I'm sure there are tons on the market but these all worked well for me, along with the Biotin and protein intake of at least 1/2 my body weight.
