Been ages but I do remember you. I'm wishing the same but we can never go back. Still, we can make this what we want it to be if enough of us really want this forum. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey thanks for posting. I love your recommendations. Keeping the weight off is such a challenge. Getting rid of old behaviors are becoming harder. But your post motivates me! Keep encouraging.
It has been awhile, since I have stopped by to post. However, I do lurk every once in awhile, I will re introduce myself. My name is Wendy. 5 years ago, I had the gastric by pass. I do not know HOW I COULD have survived the surgery, without this forum. I gained many friends all across the United States, and I still keep up with them. Oh How I Wish this forum was the same. Happy New Years to U!
I have one focus right now. Not a resolution or a new post op phase so to speak. Simply put I a holding my calorie average at the level my surgeon determined I need for life time maintenance. This won't be easy. However, if I am ever going to be where I need to be with a sufficient cushion for life's ups and downs there is no choice. I carved up my insides to reach my healthiest possible weight. Remaining a little fat is not part of my plan.

People will eventually show you who they really are. However, what matters is who you are. Smart move cutting back after the holidays. I like to cut back before and after events so weight gain is not an issue. Have an awesome holiday season. I'm still celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas!

I'm a newbie and use all the help I can get. It's just what I need. A place where I can talk to other people of color who have experienced or still are experiencing what I'm going through. It's also a place where I can celebrate or complain about some of these issues without judgment from those who haven't gone through it.
Oh my goodness! No one ever explained it like that. I'm going to take in more protein AND double up on the biotin starting TONIGHT!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! A thousand times, thank you. I will give an update when there's something to tell.
Happy 2013!
BAF will be what we choose to make it this year. If we want this forum we'll post and support each other. .
