You are so right. My friend, Debby, once told me that reading the Bible is similar to walking on the beach. As you walk the beach, you find some shells just laying there, if you dig a little, you find other shells, and each level of digging provide you with more precious shells. Just a simple read of the Bible, I find such treasure, and, as I dig deeper into a verse, the treaure is greater and greater.
Now, I have to ask, since I KNOW the value of the word, why don't I spend more time treasure hunting there than I do on the internet?

Hi Karen,
I have to confess, I have never read the Bible from cover to cover, and I really want to do that. Like a lot of things, I get started, and drop it altogether.
I meed to get started again, and persevere.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

WOW can you imagine the power in a touch from Jesus Himself. What an awesome experience that would have been!
Topic: Buried treasure.
Do you like to search for buried treasure? Bet you never thought to look in your Bible for it. Do you realize each and every sentence in there is there for a purpose and put there at God's direction for our enlightenment. If you really want to find buried treasure just open your Bible and there is a treasure on every page. It's been awhile since I've done it but I've read the Bible cover to cover a couple of times in my life. Now I didn't always understand what I read but the more I read it the more I understand. So please take time daily to search for the treasures in your Bible and put them to use in your dily life. God bless. Karen

I love the passage about the Lord taking the children and touching them lovingly. In my childhood, I had a miriad of touches, some were frightening, and some were abusive. Yet, Jesus touches with love and kindness, and is tender. He knows my needs in that touch, and heals my childhood traumas with love.

I hate the refining fire of trials. Yet, when I go through them, I know that they are making me more like Jesus, and that they are not going to harm me.

Topic: Is it hot in here?
Do you feel like you are on the hot seat sometimes? When it's just one thing after another with no end in sight. Well, like producing a strong metal we must also be heated and tempered. Holiness often involves being heated to build our strength. Isa. 43:2 says "When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned." Not if but when! We never know when we will be asked to walk throught the fire but we do know that God's purpose is to purify us not destroy us. We can also be assured that He will right there with us! God bless. One of the saddest things that can happen in a new Christian's life is for them to think they must somehow earn their salvation, when in fact it is paid in full by Jesus Himself! As we mature we learn that we try to do what Jesus wants because of our love for Him not because we can earn anything.
