Hi Barb,
I will be praying for your surgery. I am also on blood thinners, and understand the concern. Hope you find the RNY to be exactly what you need.
Hugs,
Trish

Prayers that your surgery will go smoothly and you get relief from that band. Oh how I would love to revise and get rid of mine. I use blood thinners too so understand your concern but I'm sure it will all go well! Be sure to report back on how things are going!

Karen,
I highly recommend a book by Joni Eareckson Tada, called A Place of Healing: Wrestling with the Mysteries of Suffering, Pain and God's Sovereignty. It has really blessed me recently. I got it from Crossings Book Club, but wonder if it is available on Amazon. Even though she has been paralyzed from the neck pain, she now suffers from chronic pain. It is really well written, and she really explores all aspects of her paralysis, healing, and accepting God's plan for her.
I did something dumb today. I did not wear my special boot most of the day, and tonight, my foot bothers me, even when laying down. I could kick myself. Tomorrow, I will be more diligent, and wear it throughout the day.
I have been frustrated lately. I had to cancel my therapy appointment for today, because driving bothers my foot, as it is my right foot that I injured. I have not seen my therapist in almost a month, and I can't see him now till September 7th.
Sorry I am always late in posting to you.
Hugs,
Trish

Oh it's always so exciting to see new ones here! Some days I think I'm just talking to myself but when I miss posting I feel like I'm letting God down so I always end up coming back. Thanks I am feeling a bit better today, this fibro is so unpredictable, some days are pretty good and others I can barely roll out of bed in the morning. I'm sure God has a reason for it so I just have to trust Him. Hope we see you often and feel free to start posts of you own if you like!

This is TOTALLY awesome!! I'm a follower of Christ and have been blessed to find a few believers on the VSG forum, but I had no idea that there was a forum for believers to post! That's fantastic! It's bookmarked and I plan to check in on here often! Thanks for having it!
PS Hope you're feeling better!

I don't really have a "lesson" today as I'm hurting so bad from my fibro and neuropathy it's kinda hard to think straight. But then maybe that is a lesson in itself, how to make friends with pain. I know Trish also lives with this constant pain. I try to accept it most of the time as just something that God has given me to help me grow, Then there are days like today when I hurt soooo bad I have to ask WHY, I try to do right and be a good Christian but yet the pain persists. I just have to realize that the pain has nothing to do with how much God loves me or what He has planned for me, I have to trust He knows and that this is for my benefit (somehow!). So I'll take my nap and hope I feel better with some rest and a pain pill.
God bless!

Oh Sweetie,
I am right there with you. Praying for your health. I saw the podiatrist today, and I have a stress reaction, which is the precursor to a stress fracture. I had this a few years ago, and it did develop into a fracture, because I did not see a doctor. I have to wear a Cam Walker boot to walk, but can take it off to drive, sleep or shower. Thankfully, I already had the boot, because of my previous fracture. It hurts, but nothing I can't live with.
And, I have to have hammertoe surgery in September as well. Doc said, catching the problem today, helps because I only have to wear the boot for two weeks, instead of breaking it and wearing the boot for three to six weeks, postponing the surgery.
Will keep you in my prayers with the biopsy and the lung issues. They found another clot in my lung a few weeks ago, and we can't get my coumadin level right since. I hate going to the ER for the problem anymore, because it takes forever and they don't let me have anything to drink till all the tests are back, because of the possibility of needing emergency surgery. MY last visit to the ER was a nightmare. I had an ER nurse tell me I was not an emergency case. I was not admitted because I had the Lovenox at home to use till my coumadin level went up. Well, it went up way too high, then it plummetted into the toilet this week. I am taking the coumadin exactly as I am told.
Well, I have babbled enough. Love you.
Trish
