I have anxiety and have always taken lexapro (antidepressant) and ativan at bedtime to let my mind slow down enough to sleep.  I take less of those now and take several different products from herbalife called Tang Kui and relax now they seem to help with pain and anxiety both.  You can get those products at www.shopherbalife.com/wendyrn   I have heard that they help a lot with fibromyalgia pain.

I would love to talk to you.  I have talked to numerous people who have had great luck with both lupus and fibromyalgia using herbalife products.  I would love to get you some of their testimonials and put you in touch with  them.  I use the products for weight loss because I had gained back 65 of my original 130 lbs I had lost and it has worked great for that but in the process have met some amazing people who have wonderful testimonials about how the phenomenal nutrition has helped with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, lupus etc.  If I can help you in any way get in touch with me.

I have friends that swear by herbalife products for fibromyalgia, something in the awesome nutrition and high protein seems to ease their fibromyalgia symptoms.  I have had numerous people tell me this.  One of the products that I have heard helped is Tang Kuei.  I have also heard that the Relax now helps to.  You can check out the products at www.shopherbalife.com/wendyrn  I can also put you in touch with someone that has had amazing results for fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and Irritable bowel syndrome.  You can hear more about my personal weight loss/ gain and now loss story at my blog at www.healthy-wealthy-n-wise.com/blog  I wish you the best of luck.  I know fibromyalgia is a horribly debilitatihng problem when it flares.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time. The only thing that ever helps me during flares is heat like a warm bath or wrap up in my electric blanket. Otherwiswe the only other thing that works is narcotic pain meds altho cymbalta has helped me but you have to take it everyday. Sounds like it is time to call the doc tho maybe he can help you get some relief.

I have been having a horrible long winded flare this time. I am aching at all tender points, headache and have developed gout in my right wrist. I kept thinking it would pass in the next couple of days. I think I must break down and call the Dr. tomorrow.
The weather has cooled down, so I have been out walking. Aquacise classes start next week and I am really looking forward to that. I get a lot of relief from the water exercises.
I had carpal tunnel surgery and dequrveen surgery(thumb) two years ago. I am not sure if it is the fibro flare or what but they also hurt so bad I can hardley think straight.
I also have been having a lot of pain in my right ear and right jaw. Has anyone else had this? I know it is not an ear infection because it comes and goes. Very painfull!

the reason your vitamin D isn't going anywhere is that you are probably taking prescription D - D2 - little green gelcap in oil.  We can't absorb these. I took them for 2 years preop and they didn't do much, started at 16 and only went up to 36. Then post op, my NUT told me about Dry D3 from BioTech that you can get at vitalady.com - it is also 50,000 units but dry D3 rather than D2 in oil -you will absorb it so much better.  In 2 months, my level went from 36 to 97.

Give this stuff a try.  Most of us on the RNY and main board use it.

They deny almost everyone the first time in hopes that you will just accept the denial and go away.  Get a SS lawyer and fight it.  I have chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and a slew of other medical problems.  I got a lawyer that specializes in chronic fatigue syndrome patients and he used to work for social security, so he knew exactly what they were looking for.  It took about a year and a half but I got all the back pay. Don't give up.  I haven't worked since 1999.  At first I got reviewed every 2 years but after my second review and all the information I gave them and how much detail I gave them of how sick I had been, they haven't called or written me since 2004 or 2005.  I think they finally got the hint that I am permanently disabled.  I really wish I could work but I can't.  I spend more time in bed than anything else.
