One of our Sunday spin instructors likes to do 2-hr rides once a month during the winter, and today was the day.  It was a great class!  Then with rubbery legs, I went to do 2 miles on the TM.  They were not pleasant, but I didn't expect them to be (really wanted to simulate race conditions).  Did the 2 at 7.0 (up to 7.5 at the end).

Great workout day!  Feel tired, but well worth the effort.  Time to go walk the dog then see a movie with my son.

I swam an hour in the pool today.  My husband and son both joined me.  Art's decided that he can't let me do an HIM without him, so he's learning to swim.  My son has started showing a little more interest in our fitness activities.  My son's idea of working out is challenging me to a race, so he'll be my speedwork in the pool.

Got a 5 mile run in today.  The cold wasn't too bad.  I really did miss running outside!!

6.2 miles on the hamster wheel today.

How I am eagerly awaiting the longer days so I can run in the warm sun and the evening hours.

I'm a wuss, I won't run in the cold or after dark.  So it's limited to the gym and TM during the winter with the occasional lunch time run at work.

14.5 miles in 2:44:47 which is a personal record for me, included a total ascent of 2000 feet.

My speed has really come back since my hamstring injury and I cut out one run day (replaced with tough elliptical workout) and really hammering my legs on their weights day.

7 miles on the mill.  Maybe when my bones thaw out, I will attempt an outside run . . .

I did a half hour run and then a half hour bike ride. Decent weather, but can't wait until spring!

It was 12 degrees this morning but it is definitely beautiful outside.  I ran 6.5 miles this morning.  My bud won't let the weather get in our way, so unless it's sleating we are outside running.  We ran with our glittens, facemasks, adn three-layers of clothing and actually warmed up around mile 4 after the wind subsided.

Winter is just starting, so this weather thing is going to just keep gettting  better and better.
