Chad,

Congratulations and thank you for sharing your journey with us.  With each report that you write, it's such a privilege to share in your personal reflections.  You make us laugh and cry.  By the end of your story, I always learn a little bit more about myself.    Your strength is an inspiration.

Isn't it just AWESOME when you cross that finishline and Mike Reilly says...

"Chad Soileau...YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!!!"

Best feeling ever!

Great RR...I was able to visualize the whole thing!

On a sidenote...I heart Sister Madonna. I saw her on a beach before Gulf Coast Half Ironman a few years back blowing snot rockets. Snort.

Thanks so much for sharing, Chad.  Endurance races sure tell us a lot about ourselves...

Congratulations on showing the best of who you are on that day - to yourself and everyone around you.  That's the course I'm planning on as my first attempt in a couple years from now when I'm out of school (unless Arizona seems more palatable).

Thanks again, and congratulations!

Chad, I couldn't agree more that Cour didn't seem like a beginner IM. Something like IMAZ or along those lines is more my cup of tea for 2011. I think what I liked most about your story is in your pre-race interviews you weren't out there to do anything other than fini****hink with the pressure off, you were able to just put your head down and run your race. So many of us try to run everyone else's race and beat other's times. So hat's off to sticking with your plan.

Jeff

PS. the smack-down on the calf is a great touch. Nice M-DOT.
