Hip pain during and after run

The biggest weakness MOST runners have is strength in their hips, which can eventually lead to injury. Yes the foam roller and stretches will help the symptoms, but the key is to solve the problem, which could very well be weakness in your hips. Focus on the stretching, wearing appropriately fitted shows, and strengthening your hips... Best of luck!

Thank you everyone--I appreciate your insight greatly!  I don't want to give up running but I don't want to be in pain either!
