Face Exercise

Just curious to know if anyone pre or post op does face and neck exercises? My brother and my girlfriend both had RNY and both of them have chicken necks; at least thats what they look like to me. Neither one of them exercised before or after surgery.
I'm in process of getting to the surgery myself and I'm exercising now, not a lot though because of my size, but I want to continue working on my health as much as I can even after the surgery.

Any thoughts anyone???

Uhhhhh... never heard of face excercises to help with chicken neck. You would probably need to bulk or add lean muscle mass to your face to avoid this, and if you can figure out a way to do that, let us know, it would be interesting to see... Chewing gum?

You can't exercise away that much loose skin.

Basically exercise can increase muscle mass and burn calories. In a recent study, the people who exercised had firmer skin than the ones that didn't but it wasn't enough of an effect to get rid of batwings or chicken neck. Only PS is going to get rid of that.

Thanks so much for the input. I've been looking at plastic surgeon websites and some have said yes it works and just as many have said you'd still need surgery.

I'm short and what little neck length I have is covered by a double chin. I guess I'll try the exercises and if they don't work for me I'll look for other options. In the meantime I'll keep saving for plastic surgery for when I get to goal.

Thanks Again

I forgot to say that I exercise 10 hours a week and I still have a turkey wattle. Heh, heh.
