Finishing is doing it well ..... I'm stubborn as well, so I found signing up and paying the money always get's me there.

2011 is the year I get my 10K and half in. My 10K I am looking forward to is in Quebec city in May as a combination girls getaway!

The half will be in October a our local Legs for Literacy event. I will do numerous 5k's as well. I will be needing band repositioning surgery at some point in the year; hopefully not around the time I want to do those two races.

My goal is also to do a 5k a month. I don't have them scheduled yet but here in Southern California there is at least one every weekend. I do want to do the Santa Anita 5k in April. I am doing the Santa Monica-Venice Christmas run this weekend. Should be fun and the weather will be great down on the beach-around 70.

first race of the year, the Goofy challenge... it's in 4 weeks!  ack!

After that, not sure, maybe a 140.6 if i can find the time/money to train, definitely some long riding events and lots of sprints/5k's etc.  I have been focused on the goofy, and will need to choose another big race to shoot for soonish so i don't experience the post event let-down.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

 Can't wait to read your race report from the Goofy!!!!
I know you've heard this but DON'T go to hard on the half!!!  That and the snow killed my efforts for the full on Sunday -- course I did PR the half there

Thanks, I have a feeling that it's going to be hard to hold back on the half. I will be rested off the taper and probably feeling strong, so it's going to be a mental exercise for sure.

 In 2010, I reached my weight loss goal (woo hoo)!

My "new" goal for 2011 is to complete a Marathon.

My plan so far...

5k TBD in Feb/Mar as part of my training program
May 14, - Grand Rapids River Bank 25K;
a couple of 10Ks TBD over the Summer as part of the training program
October 16, - Grand Rapids Metro Health Marathon;

For both the 25K and Marathon, I am Running to Finish.  Once those goals are achieved, will work on Time.

If anyone is coming to Grand Rapids for either of the above runs, do let me know...
