Thanks for asking. I was wondering too.
I love my sugar free Pumpkin Spice creamer.
VSG 11/17/16 down 18 lbs so far.
Hoping to rid myself of 100 lbs and health issues.
My Doctor only had me on the phase 1 diet for 48 hours, so now I'm onto phase 2. So I put a scoop of Chunky sirloin burger soup, a scoop of Cauliflower Cheddar soup, and a splash of red potato soup in the blender. It is very tasty and easy to get down. I have also found a new use for my tiny sushi soy sauce dipping bowls, which hold around 2 Tbl. for my cottage cheese and other meal items. Paired with tiny tasting spoons, it keeps me eating tiny amounts slowly. I'm getting my protein in via drinks and water. I'm loving the Isopure pineapple flavor.
I know some may say that the soups have veggies and I'm supposed to concentrate on my protein. The 2 or so Tbl of soup I get down makes me feel better about getting some variety and it is satisfying.
Loving my Barbie sized cottage cheese portions.
So far so good.

PS: I am having Thanksgiving Dinner Sunday!

I know other surgeons say this. I don't remember if they said this at the office or not and its not in the paperwork. I am nervous that the days i cheated will affect my liver to where they can't or won't perform the surgery. I really am trying I stopped smoking and stopped eating sweets but a couple times I had some bad foods. I just don't want to get there and than they said unfortunately we can't do the surgery because your liver is not small enough.
Thanks for the reply..I am trying to follow the diet had some hiccups but trying. I just wanted to know if my liver is not thin like they want do they not perform the surgery? Oh and mine is at 10:30

Hi, I was told that i need to go on a 2 week pre-op diet before the surgery. They informed me that if I make a mistake, as in eat some candy or fries, its okay cause everyone makes mistakes. I ran into someone that has had gastric bypass (not where I am going) she said that they put her on a 2 week liquid diet. They told her that if her liver is not thin they will not before the surgery. I don't remember them telling me this. I looked at all the papers they gave me and nothing. I also know that every surgeon is different. My question is for patients of Dr. Coates Stockton or Modesto California. Did they tell you that they would not perform the surgery if your liver is not thin enough? Did they reschedule your surgery if it wasn't?

The nutritionist don't know Jack about the true needs and experiences of WLS patients. They only provide some theory they read about. Only use NUT advice as a general guideline.
I eat regular sugar everyday and I lost 150lbs post op. I did give up Sosa and sugar cereals but I don't miss either. I drink a lot of ice tea and hot tea which I add regular sugar to, and artificial sweeteners to. I als eat chocolate in moderation almost daily, and jelly donuts 3 or 4 times a week.
It sounds like a lot but I follow a very very healthy diet other than the items above, and I need the satisfaction to stay the course.
I'm 2 years out this week and lost 100% of the excess weight. I also monitor nutrition and steps with a tracker and expect I always will ( by choice).
