I am also interested to hear how this works out for you. Please update us to let us know.

Do any of your pre-surgery people use appetite suppressants? I finally decided on Saxenda to help me. My RNY won't be until May or so of 2017. My copay for this $1200 med is $45, so I'm getting a 3 month supply for $135. The pharmacy had to order it but I should get it and start it on Monday. Way excited!
Hey guys, my dad is 69 years ago and he has been diagnosed with the early stage of dementia disease. She doesn't follow her day-to-day routine and appetite. It's sometimes not an easy task to handle her. On the either side, I don't have an idea on what kind of food usually the dementia patients are preferred to eat (must be healthy for them too). The sad part is, due to my tight work schedule can't even spare a day for her. I'm planning to hire a good caretaker from a Toronto-based health service provider so they can take a good take care of her. I don't think so I could manage everything simultaneously. Still I wanna hear some good responses. what are the recommended food which can help to improve brain health
I was turned off by any "sparkling" water due to trying Lacruex (or however you spell it) water. Bleh OMG it was the nastiest stuff I've ever tried. BUT I just went to Kroger and they had the ICE water on sale for 10/$10 so $1 each. I got several different flavors to try. I have to say I really like the Cherry Limeade that I just tried. I'm in the beginning stages of my journey and am having a HUGE problem with my soda habit. But I think this will help me greatly getting off the Coke. I'm excited!
I am diabetic and I never eat anything white except for cauliflower, no bread, no pasta, no rice, no potatoes. I do eat a lot of zoodles, yummy, zucchini put through a spiralizer. for me any bread, pasta or rice will spike my sugar
Lol

The recipes are for the most part for people past the early stages of wls, but once you're onto solid foods it shouldn't matter how many months you are out from surgery. The only thing I figure you'd need is a breakdown of the calories, carbs etc for each recipe so it could be more in tune with whatever place you're at in your weight loss journey. i.e losing weight/maintaining.

No one surgery is better than the other, what works for one may not work for another. T-Rebel
T.......I totally agree with you. The problem I find is most of the ideas on what people on this site are eating is they are a lot further out. I wish we had recipes broken down into how far out you are. I.E. 4 months, 6 months, etc. etc. Perhaps I'm missing something.
Thank you Kyzze. I am now using a straw. It doesn't bother me a bit. I too was having a problem getting all my water in w/o a straw and besides, it's just easier when I'm at work to use a straw and I think the powers that be appreciate it to to help prevent spills around the computers.
