I think I have found my soulmate! HA! I am looking for the same thing. I do lift weights on my own and have been doing so for about a year and a half. I also climb stairs and do RPM cycling classes. I've built quite the darn frame in the process, but I do still weigh 165ish pounds and everyone else my height weighs like 145-150. I know I shouldn't compare myself to another and all that jazz, but...yeah...I am!!!
I went to my nutritionist last summer. I had one of those DEXA scans done and I was 116lbs. muscle, the rest was like 'stuff' in your body. He said that was great. My BMI was 26. I wi**** was like 24. I don't know what it is now. He told me not to worry about calories but to track my macros (proteins, fats, and carbs). He said he would like to see me have like 100-120g protein per day, 35g fat, and I can't remember the carb number but between the other two. After talking to people here, reading up, asking questions, I don't know that this is exactly what I should be doing based on the activity that I do...I am not sure. I also have some re-curring binge eating issues that are just messing me up. Anyways...if you hear anything, please let me know!!!
Good luck!
The recommended daily calorie ratios are as follows:
55% carbohydrates
30% fats (no more than 10% should be saturated fat)
15% protein
The great thing about protein powder is that you DON'T have to drink it! ADD IT to you foods for a quick protein boost! it's hideous stuff but you can add it to everything you eat. Add it to milk, spaghetti sauce, mashed potatoes, any and everything you'd like!
I would also like to know the answer. I am 3 years post op and have slipped 20lbs back on from my lowest weight. I would really like to get back on track but I'm finding our needs seem to be a little different from that of normal "dieters". Am I wrong? For example someone told me Weigh****chers would not work because it allows us too much food! Feedback is appreciated!
I am struggling to find guidance for post gastric bypass eating plans for individuals wanting to get lean and build muscle. I have found guidance for post bariatric eating and guidance for bodybuilding (both online and through dietitians), but not the intersection of the two. Anyone know of a resource to do so?
Have you tried the site "Eggface" has? (theworldaccordingtoeggface.com) She has many great recipes and ideas for all stages of diets. Good luck
So after my tummy tuck from weight loss with the lap band, I decided to try the 21 day fix. I lost 7lbs in 2 weeks!! Has anyone else had good results with it? I altered it slightly to eliminate carbs. I'm interested to hear your take on it! I gained the 10 lbs I lost after my tuck and I'm trying to shoo it out the door. I've been doing p90x workout instead of the 21 day fix ones.
Blog post up, scroll through past posts to see tummy tuck / lap band before and afters.

Hi,
I'm not an expert but I spent a number of years in Europe and over there they have only bad things to say about Centrum. I've never taken it but I'm sure you can do a lot better than that.

I have found that a lot of the Stevia that is commonly sold has other sweeteners added to it. Some have sugar alcohols or maltodextrin which can give it that apertame taste. There is pure Stevia but you have to read the information about it to make sure it is pure. I never see it in regular grocery stores.
