Too good to be true I guess?

Most of the sugar is the form of Allulose, so guess it didn't work out being as blood sugar neutral for you. Have you tried any other products with Allulose? Seems like it's pretty new from what I gather?

I am a nurse and depending on your age centrum or equivelant of the store brand works well. And the expense is minimal

Topic: Low Potassium

Hi, I am 3 months post VGS surgery. I had blood work done and my potassium is low. Took 3 potassium pills every 6 hrs for 24 hours and another blood test I was still low. Repeated same thing and my level went even lower. Anyone else had or have issue with low potassium? Now I have to take a pill every day and have my blood work done in another week. I just wondered what could be causing my issue since I have never had low potassium levels before.

Thanks for your help.

Topic: RE: Protein

Personally, I buy my protein in bulk whey or casein specific. Usually 25lbs. I flavor with various things from the Crush's Pineapple Coconut to those little Mio mixes. I even buy my extracts and sweeteners in bulk.

As for recipes, an example would be if I need a cream, I use the lowest fat cream cheese or Greek Yogurt (tip: Sam's or Costco's has a great product with good macro profile) with some casein. I try to make it a protein mix with as little fat/carb profile with high protein content. It pretty much replaced my milk products, since you can also MPI protein in bulk or beef up your own milk.

I was stocking up on my regular items at the health food store and they threw one of the new bars in for me to sample. It was only 200 calories, but 12 grams of sugar. I tried it anyway, and got hit with RH a half hour later. I won't be trying another one.

Just too much sugar.

I am almost 10 years out and have been told that it should be for life. They are now finding out that patients are having all sorts of issues years down the road because they did not take their vitamins/supplements.

Hi,

I just saw a new item in my Amazon feed - Quest Hero bars? Looks like they just came out last week. I'm a big fan of many of the Quest bars already, wondering if anyone has tried these Hero versions yet?

You need to ask your Pulmonologist for diet information specific to your with Lung disease. There are ways you can eat that will help and not hinder your pulmonary treatments and breathing. if you notice in the post before this one, the op was given a diet by his/her pulmonologist and they said it made them " puke".

  1. There is nothing in either post that says they were given a diet specifically by a Pulmonologist.
  2. Your reply seems very rude and condescending towards someone simply trying to help.
  3. I'm a Respiratory Therapist so I made sure I read the post thoroughly before giving advice.

you are right, it doesn't say the diet was given by a pulmonologist. I stand corrected.
